- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- Great campus and helping faculties, Labs are great and you cannot resist your will to be involved.
- One can build great network with students as all are intelligent and achievers.
- Proper place to exercise, like gym and bars exist for calisthenics too.
Dislikes
- Mess can be kept more clean and can provide more hygienic food.
- Parking area for cycle should be cemented, so that less dust blows from crowd.
- Small rooms with lack of electric facilities, like you cannot even use electric kettle in your room.
Placement Experience:
Students become eligible for campus placements from 4th semester, but they can apply for internships, in which our college helps to enroll. They can take part in internships from 2nd year and can also get pre-placement offers from companies if they perform well. After getting a degree , I will become a software developer and will thrive for growth there.

- Superb campus, spent weeks just trying to see it all , great fields for practising any sport and even a swimming pool open for students . The infrastructure is magnificent. Faculty's are good and also help beyond college hours
- There is no sort of language barrier here which i expected because I come from Rajasthan. Mostly everyone understands hindi like even the auto drivers. Lectures are in mixed english and hindi and never udia and udia is super easy to learn
- The course is a bit of harsh to students in the first and second semester because of the standard difficulty of the exam papers but studying just a week ago from the exams ensures an easy 7.5+ CGPA
Dislikes
- The interaction with girls is like not appreciated, couples have a lot of places to hang out but in public the single ones just are a little bit too nosy.
- The day to day amenities like fruits , cycle repair (the campus is large so a cycle is required) are a little bit too costly. Like single apple for 50
- All of the restaurants and plazas inside campus charge a hell lot of money
Course Curriculum Overview:
The extra subject you have to choose us pretty fun to do and also promises good grades .
The curriculum is bit of like a mix so it's real life applications are not many except the ethics one which is meant to do especially that but it is pretty much the same stuff taught in other branches .
The exams are very very far away from each other and give a lot of time to prepare

- Large campus , clean and green campus , lot of cafes , dominos , kaventer , nescafe
- Very couple frndly campus , no one will disturb u till midnight . They will only ask u to go hostel after that no problem with what u do . Boys is yo girls ratio id 3:1
- Very well connected with the city, both airport and railway station are close to campus . Most of the tym mo bus facilities is available from campus gates . Autos are available inside
Dislikes
- 85% attendance , u will get it tough to make sure for ur attendance . If not completed u can grade backs
- Every sports favilities are there but not a proper ground for hockey . They don't focus much on hockey
- They have in tym for first year students . Which create littile difficulties fro some days . We will feel littile closed .then it will be fyn
Placement Experience:
Nit rourkela name is enough to describe it. We get good number of companies here for placement and internship . My branch has high rate of placement with 13 lpa avrage and highest 45 lpa. In total highest placement crosses over 1.3 crore and moree.

- It is a completely ragging free campus, and strict actions are taken against individuals who attempt to do so. Furthermore, seniors are very approachable and treat you kindly .
- The course cirruculum is not extremely rigourous and can be completed with ease with regular studies and about 20 hours of classes take place in a week leaving lots of room for personal and professional development.
- The campus is expansive with multiple fields to play a large variety of sports and an expansive list of clubs to explore from tech to cultural. Multiple fests and contests are conducted throughout a semester to keep on entertained.
Dislikes
- The hostel rooms are quite small especially for first years as they provide VS Hall ,a single seater hostel to be shared with a roommate but if you are lucky enough to make a good friend circle hostel life is truly a bliss.
- The FOOD is something that will bother you especially if you are from other regions of India, it isn't great and does require you to adjust though there are multiple eateries within the campus if you have the finances to afford them regularly.
- 85% ATTENDANCE-The faculty is very hit or miss ,if you get unlucky that could mean a lot of self studying and along with this some profs are known to grade poorly and with absolute grading this can be a headache.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum isn't extremely well structured
In first year , students are taught a fundamental course from various departments of engineering though most of it is irrelevant to most other departments.
From second year , department specific subjects are brought on but in no way is the curicullum cutting edge but it does provide a good fundamental understanding and most faculty are well versed in their domain to be able to appropriately convey the material.
Furthermore, the college environment provides access to all kinds of pursuits from being able to work in tutelage of PHD scholars or faculty in assisting them in their projects or to join clubs and groups working in wide array of specialized domains.

- IN NIT ROURKELA the campus has zero ragging zones for the freshers. There is complete safety for students within the campus and security is very alert. Campus -1200 acres a place where you can enjoy the atmosphere with greenery all around.
- There are various clubs where we can participate to showcase your hidden talent and get auspicious opportunities to enhance and develop skills.Mess food quality is also good.
- The academics is very well designed. Professors help the students in developing skills and knowledge.
Dislikes
- Here there is a slow involvement of the students in various acivities that one should do on reaching college.
- Here Academic studies is a bit hectic as such students dont get extra time in developing there extra activities.
- I LIKE THE COLLEGE TO THE BEST. THERE IS NO SUCH PROBLEMATIC THINGS FOR ME

1.Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semester.
2. Google,microsoft,Apple, Adani, Aditya BIRLA, INFOSYS, Amazon, Oracle and many more.
3. Highest package -1.2 crores by a student of EIE branch. Average 1000000.
4. 70% students can get placed on campus.
5.Qualify GATE for PSUs , clear IES.

- The college I got was not my dream college but after exploring the campus and taking classes it felt fascinating I liked each and every thing about the campus and faculties behaviour not a single professor is having any kind of attitude.
- Here the involvment of students in studies is very high and mentorship quality is very good senior students are assigned as the mentors for the 1st year students.
- Currently I guess in NIT rourkela the girls to boys ratio is 30:70 not sure about it. Personal and professional development of student happens when they went to college after intracting with people from different places and parts of the country.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum in B.Tech is little bit tough but as much as you get involved in studies you will see that every thing for you becomes easier. It helps and provide exposure to so many real world problems . 2 exams are there in the whole semester 4 in a year 2 mid sems and 2 end sems. end sem gets little bit tougher as compared to mid sems.

- The hostel food is okay okay type not so much celebrated
- The semester exam is not 6 months approximately it last for 4-5 months
- Not much guidance about career development and personal experiences
Placement Experience:
It's quite simple you have to study the courses offered by the college and in your own you have to develop your skill to compete with others in order to get good placement opportunities. My plans after getting a degree is to join where I get placed and prepare for the civil services exam.

- the lust green vast campus of 1200 acres provides a lot to explore.
- The societies and clubs provides a lot of exposure to students to take their skills to the next level.
- Nearly 4 fests are organised in each year, which provides a lot of relaxation to the students from the academic curriculum.

- The mess food is not up to the level and unhygenic .
- The entire fee structure is vey high which seems unaffordable for a lower middle class student.
- The college also sticks towards the 75% attendance criteria.
Placement Experience:
Basically from sixth semester we are eligible for the campus placements and ths approximate number of companies visited would be more than three hundred and the job offers would be nearly thirteen thousand. The average package was nearly thirteen lakhs and the highest package that was recorded was one crore and twenty lakhs. The placement percent is more than ninety percent

- M I G 21 K plane is also there and it looks fantastic

The campus placement in NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ROURKELA is excellent not outstanding as the average placement is around 13,00,000 and the highest was 1.82 crore from Electronic and Instrumentation Department but Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering also have 100 percent placement and median and average is almost same around 12 lacs

- Hostels, libraries, and labs all are modern quality here and are among the best.
- Inside the campus we have a whole lot of research centres too as research is the main way studies happens here.
- Students are pushed to engaged in extra curricular activities.
Dislikes
- MBA program here is not given enough footage as the engineering program and it's a major drawback.
Placement Experience:
From P&G to Tata steel, we have like 40+ companies just to hire MBA students. Students from NIT Rourkela have managed to get package of 30 lakhs and so. However, average comes down significantly as placements still are not 100%.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
