- The restaurant and night canteen are best and food of these restaurant are so so tasty that you will never gonna miss you home food again.
- The best about every college life is the Campus Environment, Club culture, sports activities

- Attandance - 85% attandance is very disgusting.. i never heard 85% in another collage except nit rourkela,
- They are so strict in their grading and failing students, it's terrible.

- I like the sheer number of clubs open to students to explore and develop in. This includes all kinds of fields of interests and is extremely encouraging.
- The campus is well maintained in terms of greenery and cleanliness and is an eyecandy overall.
Dislikes
- I structural arrangement of the campus is poor and thus requires unnecessary traversal throughout the day for all students.
- The grading system of the college is quite strict, comparing to other colleges. There are distinctions between different courses as well.
Placement Experience:
After 6th semester, students are able to sit for placements. There are about 1500 jobs offered every year and average package for electrical core is 140000 INR. Highest among all branches reaches 1 crore Or 2 every year. Nearly all students get placed. My plans after b tech is working for a couple of years and masters in areas of electronics and robotics.

- Environments : Pleasent cool environment with full of trees.
- Faculty: Supportive professors and administrative staff.
Placement Experience:
From 5th semester onwards students are eligible for internship which enhance their resume for campus placement. On the last year campus placement takes place. Maximum student get placed in companies during campus . Some students go for startup and some for further study.

- Very clean campus and Campus is very green. T
- Sports facilities are present. 2 main ground are there along with some side ground. Swimming pool is present along with central gym
Dislikes
- Rooms could be a bit larger. There are restrictions in lan port like you can't voice call or video call in WhatsApp.
- Many sports are present but there should be more equipments. Maintainance of all the facilities could be better
Placement Experience:
Only 4th year students become eligible for campus placement. Many famous company visit us like google , microsoft , zomato , licious , texas instruments ,tata and many more. 90-95 % students gets placed and those 10% opt either for higher studies or start preparing for other exams. - There is good and respectful senior junior interaction here which helps us to grow much better.
- The professors are really good and there is so much technical social academical clubs which helps so much to explore and learn.
Dislikes
- Grading system is little bit harsh here.
Placement Experience:
The placements of our college is pretty impresive. With overall average package was 18 lpa previous year and more than 90% studemt were placed. To be specific many bug companies like google microsoft facebook cognizant jp morgan come to the campus for placemengt and take plenty number of student The highest oackage offered previous year was 120 lpa and circuital average was 26 lpa. Many interships programs are also there in 3rd year wchich provide pre placemt offer also.... my palns after getting placed here at NIT RKL is to do MBA from IIM as i aam much eager now to do a startup..

- Room sizes are way lesser compared to the campus size

From starting of the 8th semester students are eligible to do internships and get eligible for pre placement offers from their dream companies. Many tech companies like Amazon , Flipkart, Google, Microsoft visit the campus . Also non tech companies like Deloitte , congizant also visit. Highest package was around 1 crore per annum in international offer and average was around 20 lakhs per annum. I am planning to pursue higher studies after degree completion

- 1200 acre campus is so huge to roam around
- Best faculties in the country in their fields
Dislikes
- More distance for commuting between hostel and lecture hall complex
Placement Experience:
From 7th semester onwards students are eligible for the preplacement offers by companies. Many companies like aditya birla , adani groups , Sri Chaitanya , reliance , Nomura bank , TCS , cognizant and Amazon visited the campus . The highest package offered was around 1 crore per annum. Around 70% student get placement. I am planning to opt for placements in a good company.

- The campus beauty, it's a lush green campus
- The sports infrastructure is really good. We have almost all sorts of sports facilities here.
Dislikes
- Mess food. It's not very hygienic. Sometimes some people get insects (very rare)
- Attendance criteria. We need 85% attendance. It's very strict
Placement Experience:
Placement scene, like I mentioned earlier is pretty good. People from all branches get placed at good companies. Both in core and non core sectors. Analytics, consultation, finance and software companies offer packages ranging from 10 to 50lpa

- The campus is fully lash green campus with no type of pollution and have 2 beautiful ponds
- It has all the sports facilities as i m a sport enthusiastic person so for me its very good to have such sports facilities
Dislikes
- Professor lectures are very boring and some of them are not very interactive
- College situated a distance away from the main city, so its take time to go out there
Placement Experience:
Nit rourkela is also famous for their placements, in some upper branches placement rate is 100% and i also came here because of the facinated amount of placements, in 2023 data highest placement was 84 lakh per annum, average placement was 15 lakh per annum, median was 12 lakh per annum

- A large Lush green campus with proper infrastructure with the best faculties in the nation .
- Great alumni network all around the world. With top notch placement.
Dislikes
- The hostel facilities are not up to the mark.
- Some of newly appointed faculties are not supportive enough.
Placement Experience:
The placement of the college are top notch with avg. Package of 15 lakhs and the top package is 1.2 cr. NIT has also a very great alumni network all across the globe being the top position of the top companies.

- I like the large campus area and the natural beauty in it...
- I like the in campus facilities like dhobi ghat, many cafes ...
Dislikes
- The mess food is often bad when we see in terms of oil and spices..
- Inside the campus there is lot of vacant area but it is still useless

It's very good in terms of campus placement. The average package was 15 lakhs last year.. And the highest was 1.2 cr.. the package of every branch is very good and satisfying. And in future it will rise it may be rise to 20 lakhs

What is your review of National Institute of Technology, Rourkela (NIT-RKL)?
A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
