- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- I like the campus area that is of 1200 acre where 600 acre comprises of greenery and other comprises of academic area, hostel area, sports field, etc.
- I like the different club culture of the college. There are more than 20 clubs related to various domains like coding, development, art, dance, music, etc.
- I also like the teachers experience who are teaching us. They are from place which helps us to acquire more knowlegde.
Dislikes
- I don't like the hectic schedule of our college which starts from 8 a.m. in the morning to 6:30 p.m in the evening.
- I don't like the timing of different fest happening in the college as its time clash with the exam preparation time.
- I don't like the branches differentiation in the college as the CSE branch student are approached more in the college but other branch does not get much opportunity.
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course is irrelevant when ot comes to non-circuital courses because most of the students apply for software jobs but the circuital students have relevant courses which will help them in thier job oppurtunity

- The optimum oppurtunities available and the tier 1 companies

- The lack of resources and direction for non circuital branches
- the lack of better hostel and better food

the relevance becomes a relative topic as most of the students opt for software jobsa and their degrees are majoring in something in else so the degree becomes irrelevant although someone who likes his/her branch would have a good time here

- This year, veg mess food quality is better than other messes.
- Campus is very big. Lot of clubs are there to explore yourself.
- You can play any sports. Gym and swimming pool is also available. In every hostel we have a "Kaam Chalau Gym".
Dislikes
- Seems like people are more focused in core engineering. A lot of students prepare for gate.
- Coding culture could be improved. You have to be in a good friend circle.
- Academics is quite far from boy's hostel.
Placement Experience:
Placements are quite good in our college. You get a lot of opportunity. If you stay consistent, you can get a good placement (10 lpa). The placements for circuital branches (cs, ec, ei, ee) are better than other branches.

- The rooms are very small need to have more hostels
- The food here is disastrous any one will fall sick
- There no transport facility inside the campus

From the third semester we were eligible for placement we got about 20 companies including coaching institutes providing the package of 4 - 7 lakhs about 70 percent of the students got placed others opted for higher studies

- Low gender ratio,the ratio is 1:5(girls:boys)
- The quality of mess food is not upto standard
- The the attendance policy is too high with 85% attendance
Placement Experience:
The campus placements are very good compared to other colleges.There are about 600 companies visiting our campus and students from 5th semester are eligible to be placed.The average pakage is around 13.5LPA and highest around 1.2Cr per annum.

- The campus is very clean , there are dustbins at regular distances.

- Im not sure about Hostel timings, rules , restrictions
- Mess food, at some point you get bored with the mess food
- Male female interaction, boys and girls not allowed to enter eachothers hostel

The college offers placements and the avg package is around 12.7 - 13.4 lakhs per annum, i havent really thought about sitting in placements though. I will consider it after my 3rd year. Many big companies come to the college thouh

- The campus has a lush green environment. It has 1200 acres of land.
- The professors are very approachable. We can also solve doubts after the class.
- There are may co-curricular activities. Students has many options to explore.
Dislikes
- The mess food quality is really bad and we don’t have many choices for food.
- There are way too many clubs for each activity. Students get confused in choosing clubs.
- Due to anti raging laws the first year students have zero interactions with seniors which causes less awareness.
Placement Experience:
The college provide good placements with an average of 13 lakhs across all the branches. Companies like apple, google, microsoft , barcleys provides placements in the 4th year. Internships are available from 3rd year onwards. Almost 90% students get placements every year from campus.

- The workload is very little, giving us time to focus on many non-academic related fields.
- The campus is very spacious. It is lush green, giving a very positive environment. The club opportunities are also great.
- The teachers are very approachable. Doubts are cleared, when required.
Dislikes
- due to Anti-ragging laws first-years are prohibited from meeting seniors, and have seperate hostels, which makes a lack in good insight.
- The mess system is very bad. No id card swipes are allowed, leaving you with very few choices of food.
- The hostel wifi has games banned, along with whatsapp video and audio calling
Placement Experience:
The students are eligible to get an intership from the end of the second semestor of their second year, i.e, the end of 4th semester. A lot of companies come and offer jobs. the highest job offer was for around 1.5Cr in campus. Some students were able to grab pretty good off-campus jobs upto 1cr as well. In cse around 97% of the students get placed. My plans after getting my degree is to work, or maybe start a company.

- Yeah the infrastructure and the maintenance of gardening was really good
- The faculty and teaching methods also was really good and appreciated
- And the fest was her like awesome the techfest the briddhi sports fest and non technical face and everything
Dislikes
- What I dislike is like the weather temperature
- Here there will be joism and they will separate the students by store there states and the region
- Yeah here the people will be having kind of ragging not that much

Yeah the placements of the college was really good and the most of the CR series were placed in good companies and well settled companies the companies wasted for like Barclays of Microsoft and there are many Intel also the package to crore

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
