Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is outdated. I choose computer science because it is one of best course for jobs and various opportunities. In the span of 4 months we have mid sem and end sem per semester giving 2 months for each exam. The curriculum doesn't give too much for real world applications, we have to learn the required for jobs on our own.

Internships Opportunities

4

Students get internships starting from 3rd years. Companies like barcleys, microsoft, google give internships. Stipend can be upto 1lakh depending on the projects that the students are working on. Students can get job placements in the same companies after graduation if results of the internship projects are good.

Placement Experience

4

The college provide good placements with an average of 13 lakhs across all the branches. Companies like apple, google, microsoft , barcleys provides placements in the 4th year. Internships are available from 3rd year onwards. Almost 90% students get placements every year from campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees per semester 76000 and the hostel fees is 20000 ( including mess fees) for the genral category. For EWS per semester is 20000 and same for hostel as genral . For SC and ST the turion fees are free.

Campus Life

4

We have fests almost every month. We have two main fest. Innovision(tech fest) in the month of Nov and Nitrutsav in Feb . We have almost all the required books for every branch in the library. The top floor has many kind of journals for research enthusiasts. All kind of sports facilities available. Many clubs palys an important role for real world experiences.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are compulsory for every student. The rooms are for 2 people. The sizes are small. The quality of food in the mess is really bad and there not many options to choose from the menu. Students can register for hostels on NITRIS which is the official portal for students of NIT RKL.

Admission

I choose this because of JEE Mains rank. The cut off for my course 3200 for general category and 7800( home state ). We need to have 75% in 12th boards in PCM subjects for eligibility. The admission process in the college was very slow and hectic process.

Faculty

4

The professors are very approachable. We have 2 exams per semester. Mid sem of 30 marks and end sem for 50 marks. 20 marks for internals( class test , behaviour, etc.) which depends on the professor. The test may go from intermediate to tough depending on the subjects.

Night Life

4

The gyms are closed by 10pm and every hostel has their own night canteens which are open till 1am in the night. The cafes are closed 12am. First years are prohibited to go out of hostels after 9pm. The campus is closed after 2am l. Students expect 1st year can roam inside the campus anytime they want.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I love computers and I have deep intrest in computer science sk I choose this course. I learned much necessary things in the college. College should help and provide skills according to the students. There were hackathons done by the college which is a good step towards the development of students. The main focus should be in the practical knowledge than the thoery as in real world students have to deal with projects where labs practices play a major role.

Placement Experience:

the placements are preety good in this college . however currenty the job market is down so it has impacted the college placements. from 6th semester onwards students become eligible for placements however the companies visit from 7th sem onwards . many renowned companies visit along with multiple startups offering from a range 4 lpa to 24 lpa all based on the potential of the students. the college offers a 100% placement but looking at current senario it seems difficult. mostly companies hire for sowftware engineers and product manager roles but , also provide marketing and sales job roles. 25 lakhs per annum is the highest package in the recent time average package is abput 5-10 lakhs per annum. though college promises 100% placements, the actual percentage is quite low about 50-60% students are getting placed which is also a result of the current job market scenario my plans after this degree is joining a company and finding my passion . i can also tink about my own startup based on my passion to make a change in the society .
