- It offers a great placement after the course completion, companies like microsoft, amazon google, flipkart and other companies like goldman sachs come to recruit new freshers in their companies and even offer internships as well.
- The fests conducted in our college are worth enjoying and marvelous talent is encouraged.
- No fees hike policy.cost to study is a bit high for a government organisation but it's worth it.scholarship opportunities financial assistance and job opportunities are very satisfactory over here.
Dislikes
- The scholarship availability should not be below 5 lakh.. it should be a larger number beacuse 5 lakh income is lower income than a lower middle class family.
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
- Placements for lower branches are not that good and being a remote area more companies are not coming to college

- Infrastructure is very good and has a large campus area of 1200 acres out of which 650 is used we have a variety of sports facility
- The courses also according to nep 2020. We also have food friends here.

- Being one of the top institute in India there is still no indoor sports complex
- The attendance policies quite high it is 85% and it is very strict hostel could have been better
- Girls to boys ratio is quite less it is around 23% and the girls hostel outside the academic area

If I did not get placed then I wanted to open my own business as an entrepreneur or I have another plane where I will prepare for the Civil Service exam or any other government job exam and if I cracked it I get a job.

- The campus has a big area of 1200 acres out of 650 acres are used. It has lush green campus. The sports facilities are also good.
- The placement cell is also very active and brings a lot of opportunities for students. The teachers are also experienced and college follows NEP 2020.
- The infrastructure is also very good. It has many good hostels and mess food is also good
Dislikes
- Being one of the premier colleges in the country it still doesn't has a sports complex.
- Girls hostel's are a little far from the academic area.
- The girls to boys ratio is also quite less. It is around 23% only.

Placement Experience:
From 7th semester the students become eligible for campus placement. The companies like Google, Deloitte, BHEL, landt, and other top companies come for placement. The highest package was 1.20 cr last year and the average is around 12lpa. No. Of offers made are around 1000 every year. Most of the students get placed and those who don't go for placement also have a very good opportunity later because of the degree of this college.

Placement Experience:
Our college is providing many placement opportunities and internship opportunities. We are eligible for internship from 1st semister onwards and Full time placements after completion of 1st year. Many companies like ADI, Samsung, Nvidia, Intel, Google, Apple, Ola, Mediatech,etc,.... will visit our college every year. almost 90% of students are getting placements every year. I want to join in a core company after completion of M.Tech.

- Inside the college no vehicles are allowed to use by the students except bicycle.inside the college there are a lot of trees and greenary it is the thing that I like the most
- There are few more things I like are the clubs and their projects.clg provide funds to all the clubs.
- While coming to faculties nit Rourkela has one of the best teaching faculty.the placements provided by the college is also good.
Placement Experience:
Nit Rourkela stands in top 5 nits in India .coming to placements the circuital branches (computer science, electronics and communication engineering, electronics and instrumentation and electrical engineering)have good placements.while coming to remaining branches civil and food processing have less placements compared to other branches

- Our college have best placements for all the courses and maximum students of mechanical engineering are get placed in recent years
- The faculty members who have experience in this field are really good but the new faculty have to improve their teaching skills

- In our college I don't like the mess food
- I our college there will be always a problem about network signals

- Our collage infrastructure is very best and the collage is larger than any other nit
- Our college has the best placements for all courses especially mechanical engineering has max placed in companies
- In our college there are good faculty to teach you if you have any doubt they definitely soleve to your problem and they advice to choose your future

- In our college there i dont like fest which are held by the way there are very less fest conducted
- In our college there is very poor internet network and the hostel provide the internet but it is very worst than our sims
- In our hostel i dont like mess food there serve the same for everyday

- Very vast place and huge labs for good practical experience
- Class room are very huge and installed with air conditioner
- No raging and different hall of residence for seniors and juniors

- No single rooms for first year students and timing are very strict
- Very high attendance needed for getting good grades
- Network speed is limited to 15 mbps and this is only for college network

From 7 th semister students are able to start paid internships and compus placements are vey good amd very high rated companies like google amazon zomato tesla and wipro and many other companies came to my college and recently my senior got 1.2 cr as his package and the average package are around 15 lpa and after getting my degree i will run into business and become entrepreneur

- Vast campus with over 1200 Acres of area. It is filled with Greenery. Every Department has it's own building. There are cool hangout spots for students. They also recently setup Domino's and Keventers in college.
- The guidance they give for Placements is good like they have a training committee and a placement committee that helps you with your queries. Professors are also good. Hostels are spacious. They encourage different kinds of Sports.
- The College Fests are good. We have 4 fests for the entire year with different aspects like technology, Sports, Cultural and FIlm. The clubs culture is too good, we can explore ourselves in this college.
Dislikes
- Professors are too strict and the syllabus is too tough and vast. The attendance system is >85% which I feel is way too high and we also get a medical leave if the issue is too serious.
- Coming to the placement scenario, the companies that offer ctc below 8 lakhs are way too many and only a handful companies that give good ctc visit the campus.
Placement Experience:
Students are eligible for internships from their pre-final year. The placement scenario here is good, around 900 among 1100 students are already placed which is around 80% till now and many will get placed in due time. From what I have seen the average package is around 10 LPA which is considered decent. we get companies seeking job roles of core, SDE, Data analyst and data scientist more. My plans after getting the degree is to get into a good company.

- the exam schedule of this university is one of the worst with no gaps. and they just conduct the midsems without even the completion of 2 months.
- the weather of this area is very extreme and unpredictable.
- i am not impressed by the teaching criteria of faculties. they are so rude

the curriculum is pretty good but the faculties dont know how to tackle it. the time between the exams are not sufficient. even without the completion of 2 months,they conduct the midsemester exam without any exam gaps.they also dont teach properly or systematically.

- Hostel of residence division like they provided separate hostels for seniors and freshers
- They have ensured no ragging to freshers
- Mess facilities available here are really very good

- The hostel infrastructure like they seem outdated
- The unavailability of co-ed facilities (except the green garden cafeteria)
- Less number of shops like cafe, pizza shop , sweet shop etc

The placements of my college is really good. As usual the placement average of Computer science department is on the top.
My department is electrical engineering it's average package is 12 lakhs per annum
Last year electronics department showed a good placement of highest package of
1.2 CPA in Electronics and Instrumentation branch.

A friend at NIT Rourkela gave me a detailed review of her college the last time she visited me. Here are some highlights from her descriptive experience
- NIT Rourkela has a huge, serene, and well-secured campus.
- The institute has diverse clubs that promote extracurricular activities and their performance is better than most clubs of other engineering colleges.
- Decent Internet speed is offered and the Dc++ is well maintained.
- The hostels are well-maintained and decked with all the basic amenities one could ask for.
- Students are actively involved in sports such as gymming and swimming.
- The faculties are a mixed bag. Some are underqualified and lethargic while some motivate you to become a better person.
- The institute boasts of an extensive entrepreneurship culture.
- The institute needs to work on increasing its alumni base and the level of fests it organizes given the huge income the institute generates.
- The placement scenario varies from branch to branch. It's decent for branches like CS while pathetic for others.
- Rourkela does not have any places to explore and also lacks flight connectivity.
- The city of Rourkela is one of the cleanest places so hygiene is not an issue here.
