The campus life is very good we have a green and beautiful campus equipped with every available facility. We have digital boards in evey classroom. There are many clubs like programming, dancing, and singing.

The College life ,where you really mature

Likes

I liked my college environment,my professors and their way of teaching.
I love the way how people learn new things

Dislikes

I don't like friends because their is no unity among us
Their is a jealousy between friends that should not be there

Campus Life:

Participating in club is really important to explore in some domains. So everyone must join in clubs. Nit Rourkela provides more and more sports environment and you have to utilise it. My overall experience is very very nice in clubs

NIT ROURKELA

Likes

The college campus is very friendly and there is zero tagging policy that is maintained throughout campus
There are multiple canteens at affordable rates for students within the campus and there are good amount of discounts for students in restaurants outside campus

Dislikes

Traveling outside the campus is a bit pricey
Some of the infrastructure in the halls aren’t maintained

Campus Life:

The annual tech first is called innovation, where alot of the celebrity is also come and give Ted talks. There is a large accessibility of books and journals available in the library everything between from finance to quantum physics. Sports is heavily pushed here from badminton grounds to cricket Stadiums and volley ball courts and there are many many social groups and clubs and a student portal as well as even counseling support club

The courses offered here are very broad and vast enough to complete all the competitive exam syllabus, you need not purchase any other course for your GATE or other engineering exam preparation, these courses are enough
The campus is almost about 1400 acres. So it consists of everything you need in your day to day life, groceries,food stalls,sports kit shop,mobile and laptop repair shop,barber shop,ATMs,cycle repair shop and much more

Dislikes

The zonal game played over here is the worst part. You can't get anything if you don't get support from your zone. They have divided the entire campus into various zones like north zone, UP zone,Bihar zone, South zone etc etc
There are other branches like EE and CS where the professors are totally mad, friends of mine have stated they feel like curse studying under them

Campus Life:

There are four, NITRUTSAV ( the literary and cultural fest) , INNOVISION ( technology fest), VRIDHHI( sports fest) and COSMO( film and music fest) There are various clubs like cricket club ,chess club, badminton club, music club, dance club, tech clubs, literary clubs All of them have orientation program and induction program.

NIT Rourkela campus facilities.

Likes

The whole campus is a lush green campus with great infrastructure and facilities.
Sports facilities and college fests are really impressive.

Dislikes

The location of the campus is not really in the city area.
The attendance policy in the campus is very strict.

Campus Life:

There are various clubs in the campus in which one can join any according to their interests. The cultural fest is known as Cosmo and the tech fest is known as Innovision. Apart from this various programs occur in the campus. The library is well maintained and fully air conditioned with lot of books.

It was very funtastic moment for me see how big industry work in real life .That was amazing experience. I learned a lot

Quite quilified academic faculties also supportive in every aspects.
Since BTech is considered as very expensive degree but here it seems quite affordable.

Dislikes

Here girl to boys ratio is very poor. But this doesn't have any effect on college academics.
More than 50 percent of students are form home state , which i does not like at all

Campus Life:

Anual and technical festival include innovation which happens in November, cosmopolitan which happens in October, other like vridhi ,nitruraav also happens after mid sems in aug sept . We have quite large library Biju Patnaik centeral library which contains a huge number and variety of books which everyone can excess. Class have centralised ac, power monitor, projector etc . Sports like cricket, badminton, hockey, basketball, swimming, lawn tennis etc are offered in campus. students a club called voice of voiceless which offer treatment to animals like dog, cat etc in need .

My Experience as a student at NIT Rourkela

Likes

Annual cultural and techfest and placement assistance almost 100% placement
Good infrastructure as it was spread over more than 1000 acres and labs were good fully funded by central government guest lectures were organised with faculties visiting the campus even from US, UK Japan etc

Dislikes

No airport if you are from norther region such as Delhi you will have to book a train ticket no alternate
Train journey would take almost 12 hours sometimes even more if train is delayed

Campus Life:

Social aspect is very good people from all across India and even some from other countries such as affluent families from Nepal and Bhutan used to send thier children to study and every batch there were 50-60 NRIs through international quota, annula tehcfest and cultural festival were organised. There were closed to 50-60 student clubs maybe more and every weekend there used to be some event organised for students.

Nit Rourkela- the best of all.

Likes

Very big campus and full of greens. With friendly surrounding to roam around.
Seniors and mentors are very friendly and very helpful. No ragging in the campus.

Dislikes

As very big campus, the distance from hostel to class are around 1.5 km and only cycles are allowed.

Campus Life:

There is a lots if clubs in all fields including technical to for cultural and fest . Classrooms are technically well equipped and I am presenty in 4 clubs in both technical and ngo activities. And sports and games are provided in all sports with two standiums in the campus.

It is a very big campus and you would need cycles for travelling in it.
The infrastructure, labs, teaching facilities are very good

Dislikes

Cycles were required to travel no other motor vehicles allowed for students inside the campus
The companies are less for lower branches

Campus Life:

The campus of nit is pretty big and you would require cycles to travel hence decreasing the use of motor vehicles and pollution in campus. There are many clubs present in the campus for sports, dance, drama, educational clubs, informational, photography, astronomy etc.

Placements is really good and companies like google , nvidia , qualcomm come her
Campus is really good . Academic focused and its one of the top nits

Campus Life:

There are tech fest that is innovision which is one of the largest fest in odisha and its around for three days then there multi ethnic fest that is called cosmo which is also 3 days . The fests are really fun and there are lot of active clubs like opencode , cyborg , synergy etc
