Course Curriculum Overview
Well the course curriculum is pretty vast. You are taught subjects from different branches as well. Many helpful subjects like english, biology, environment awareness are also present. But the teaching methods are not for real world applications and limited to exam oriented.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies do come for internships providing different roles for different branches of NIT like software intern, analyst, core etc. Some core projects or it based projects or competition participated make it easier.
Placement Experience
The placements here are pretty good and many companies do visit here taking maximum of the students. Many companies come for higher branches like CSE, ECE, EE, ME. Students are eligible for placements from final years
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
Year wise the fees is 80000 for the SC category which includes every other fees like tution, mess fees etc. For general category the fees is 200000 per year. There ae no available scholarships provided by the college itself.
Campus Life
The campus of nit is pretty big and you would require cycles to travel hence decreasing the use of motor vehicles and pollution in campus. There are many clubs present in the campus for sports, dance, drama, educational clubs, informational, photography, astronomy etc.
Admission
The admission process of NIT was through the JEE exam given by lakhs of students every year. The cutoff here is pretty high for higher branches like CSE, ECE, and EE. The cutoffs are less for category-reserved students.
Faculty
Actually there are a lot of good professors in NIT but the thing is the professors in my electrical branch are not supportive, and they dont help at all. They are arrogant, will not listen to you and teach in a ridiculous manner. The exams here are a bit difficult but you can adapt to it. Some 5-10 students do not make it through the exams.
