But, if you are planning to pursue metallurgy, let me tell you that you will have lesser job opportunities in both the public and private sectors in India. You might have to shift to another country to get a well-paying job and earn decently in your field of study. Electrical at NIT Silchar: There are also some really good facilities here including the largest digital library in South Asia. The campus is really good too. The placement records are amazing. Moreover, electrical is an evergreen branch with decent scope in the public sector. This would surely make a good alternative. NIT Rourkela in a nutshell.

There are some subjects that are not related to the branch but we have to study them for grades so i think those subjects should be removed.The subjects should be related to the branch.
There is a 85% attendance in NIT Rourkela and it is strict. So we have to attend the classes even if we don't like some of them.Skipping classes can result in penalty. I think it should be 75% like other colleges.

Total Fees i am paying yearwise is around 200000-210000 as in the first semester i paid 136000 but after that i have paid around 100000 for every semester and i think most likely it will be 100000 tile the end of the fourth year.1 year has two semesters. For any semester tution fess is 62500. Other fess include activity fees- 2000, medical fee-2000,hostel seat rent -5000, and exam / library fees-5000. F The hostel fees has two parts establishment fee which is 5000 and mess fee 18000-20000. For students whose income is less tha 500000 per annum they give 1/3 pf the tution fees which is around 20700. For students whose income is less than 100000 or SC/ST students they don't give any tution fees.

i am paying almost 2 lakhs per year along ith mess fees and hostyel fees. tution fees is almost 125000 per year .for reservation qoutes like sc st no need to pay tution fee for the parents income is less than 100000 then also no need to pay the tution fees.

The fees is divided into eight board categories That includes eight semester fees. The fees has to be made for each semester To be approximating for each semester the students must pay around 1,00,000 that includes hostel and tution fee Tution fee is around 60,000 and is waived off for SC / ST and students who have family income less than 1,00,000 and those you have family income in between 1,00,000 and 5,00,000 2/3 rd amount of tution fee are waived off You can apply for scholarship by NITRIS ,or Private Scholarship Test are there that provide scholarship

NIT ROURKELA- IN A SIMPLE LANGUAGE

I disliked the timing of fests which is just before the semester exams.
I disliked the time gap between classes and exams.

Total course fees including fooding and lodging turns out to be 9 lakh 20 thousand rupees.In this, Tution fees is 5 lakh which is waived for SC/ST and below 1 lakh annual family income students.Other fees like registration fees,lab fees, medical fees ,mess advance sums up to 4 lakh 20 thousand which is compulsory to all the students.There are many scholarships available for the students from NIT ROURKELA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION.

NIT Rourkela campus facilities.

The Tuition fee is around 100000 per year. The hostel fee is around 60000 per year. Additional fees including medical fees and caution fee will be required only for the first year. Fee waiver will be given for students with annual family income less than 500000.

Not the best but quite good college

This college has a lot of branches for engineering including Management

The tuition fee is very similar to other nits. Other fees are also very affordable but recently the mess fee has increased by approximately twice the previous one . And the mess food is also not very good.

There is basically 3 types of fees structure on the basis of total income of familiy member (1) If family income is less than 1 lakh then tution fees is not taken (2) if family income is more than 1 lakh and less than 5 lakh then one -third of tution fees is taken . (3) If family income is more than 5 lakh then full tution fees (62500) is taken . And extra fees including mess ,hostle ,SAC, dispennsary etc is incresed upto 50000 from 35000 in only one semester (2023 -2024 )
