Likes

The whole campus is a lush green campus with great infrastructure and facilities.
Sports facilities and college fests are really impressive.
The boys to girls ratio in the campus is around 4:1

Dislikes

The location of the campus is not really in the city area.
The attendance policy in the campus is very strict.
Some of the buildings of the campus is very old.

Course Curriculum Overview

In the first year the syllabus contains various non core subjects in order to strengthen our basics. From second year the syllabus contains core topics and practicals which will help us in the real world. I choose this course because Rourkela is an industrial city and placement opportunities are more.

Class Size: 120Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships provided by the camous will be from the fifth semester. One can also get internships before that by applying themselves. Internships really adds a greats points in ones CV. students usually get internship opportunities from TATA , JSW etc.

Placement Experience

The placement records of NIT Rourkela is really impressive. Students can apply for placements from the seventh semester. Multinational companies like Amazon and Google have recruited students from the campus. The average package offered is 12LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Tuition fee is around 100000 per year. The hostel fee is around 60000 per year. Additional fees including medical fees and caution fee will be required only for the first year. Fee waiver will be given for students with annual family income less than 500000.

Campus Life

There are various clubs in the campus in which one can join any according to their interests. The cultural fest is known as Cosmo and the tech fest is known as Innovision. Apart from this various programs occur in the campus. The library is well maintained and fully air conditioned with lot of books.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities provided by the campus is really great. For first years they get a two person accomodated room. Each hostel has its own mess and gym facilities. The mess food is really tasty which provides a homely experience.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Admission

I secured admission in this college after qualifying JEE Mains examination. I also tried to apply for civil engineering in NIT Calicut, but later I withdrawed it as the future scope for civil engineering is declining.

Faculty

The whole course is of four year which is divided into 8 semesters. In each semester there will be a mid semester and an end semester examination. all the faculties and professors of the campus are highly educated and supportive.

Placement Experience:

The placement is good with highest package being 19 lpa from JP Morgan to lowest is 3 lpa the average package is around 5 lpa . Students are eligible for placement tests from 6 sem as pwc comes for their launchpad program in 6th sem only. Companies like accenture, tcs, Infosys, cognizant, PWC, JP Morgan visit our college. Majority students around 82 percent gets placed in these companies. My plan after college is to work for any of these companies.

Honest College Review

Placement Experience:

Stduents get eligible from 5th semester for placements peaking at 6th semester of the college. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Tiger Analytics etc came but big pacakge placements offers are low . The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

My Honest Experience at KIIT University B.Tech CSE

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

An Honest Look at Life and Learning at CV Raman Global University

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

A Decent Experience

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
