Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with 75% marks (65% marks for reserved category).
Entrance Exam:
Candidates must qualify for JEE Mains.

- For, SC/ST/PH/Family income<1lakh (Tuition fee completely exempted)
- For, students having family income between 1lakh to 5lakh per annum (Tuition fee is one-third of Tuition fees i.e. Rs. 20,833)
- Other fees include Examination fees, Library fees, Electricity fees, etc.

- The enviroment, it has lot of greenery and hills, the campus is big and there are lot of shops inside the campus
- The infrastructure and lab facilities are good. Everything is well maintained and the equipment are aslo in good condition
Dislikes
- Away from city centre and it is far away from the centre so, if you want to have a party or watch a movie
- The campus is big, and it is hard to travel around in a cycle, vehicles are not allowed

- Good exposure to industry and the level pf organisation of fest is amazing so that you enjoy along with get guest lectures from highly talented personalities.
- Many clubs are there so that you can develop your co-curricular.

- Hostel are filled up above the capacity it was built for
- Large class size so that there is gap between profs and some students
Fees and Financial Aid:
If you belong to general or OBC category and family annual income is more than 5 lakh per annum you have to pay full course fees and hostel fees. If you belong to general or OBC and your family income is between 1 to 5 lakh per annum then your tuition fees(course fees) will be waived off 2/3 of actual fees. And if you belong to any other category or family income is less than 1lakh per annum your full tuition fees will be waived off. You can also avail some scholarships arranged by alumnis.

my college fees is divided into 2 parts hostel fees and tution fees hostel fee is 40000 per semester and tution fees are 60000 per sem Due to my reservation I dont have to pay tution fees only the fees of hostel nice

- The courses offered here are very broad and vast enough to complete all the competitive exam syllabus, you need not purchase any other course for your GATE or other engineering exam preparation, these courses are enough
- The campus is almost about 1400 acres. So it consists of everything you need in your day to day life, groceries,food stalls,sports kit shop,mobile and laptop repair shop,barber shop,ATMs,cycle repair shop and much more
Dislikes
- The zonal game played over here is the worst part. You can't get anything if you don't get support from your zone. They have divided the entire campus into various zones like north zone, UP zone,Bihar zone, South zone etc etc
- There are other branches like EE and CS where the professors are totally mad, friends of mine have stated they feel like curse studying under them

The overall fees keeps fluctuating a bit depending on the hostel and mess fees. The tuition fees is constant For family which has annual income above 5lpa, the tuition fees is 67000/- For family which has annual income below 5lpa and more than 1 lpa, the tuition fees is 22333/- For family which has annual income below 1 lpa, the tuition fees is zero The hostel fees and mess fees combined is 30-33k around per semester , Also a hall maintenance fee of 2000, examination fees of 2000 and medical fee of 2000 is paid per semester ..
Fees and Financial Aid:
So total fees of our institution is 9,20,000 inr for full 4 year btech program. There are two types of scholarships or waiver offered here which are as follows:- 1: If the family income of parents are less that 1 lakh then the total tution fess is waivered and now the total fees becomes around 4 lakhs for 4 years. 2: If the family income is between 1-5 lakhs the total tutions fees per semester beacomes 20,833 which gives us the total fees of 5,27,000 for 4 years. Many if my friends are waivered which such waivers and the fees here in Nit rourkela is pretty low as compared to other engineering colleges. we can also apply for education loan from the bank for the college fees.

- chilling and vibing spots in the college like naga pond, golden jubilee etc.
Dislikes
- Food especially SD mess food is really worse here.
- Weather especially during summer season .

Fees differs from students based on their family income and reservation.I have a full tuition fee wavier for the complete course i only pay for the mess and Hostel facilities.There are many different scholarships provided for the students based on merit and reservation.

Fischer is like sufficient for this college, and the financial assistance is also provided by Private Limited companies like Reliance Jio data and many. Amences for student to pursuing the BTEC M.Tech and the PSD courses as staff and given by the government is also allowed. And the assistance is also provided by our banks that gives sufficient interest allowance. And much more are provided as a scholar.Ship by various private companies to the btech student of nit rourkela.

- The campus life is the one I really liked.
- Hostel life is also very good with different facilities like gym, badminton court,etc.
Dislikes
- The size of room is very small for two people
- The faculty advisor is a very rude and strict person who doesn't understand the student's problems.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The tuition fees are constant and do not change through a good course of time. The total cost of studying for me is 320000 as I avail scholarship. Scholarship are for students whose family income is below 5 lakhs...their two third of tuition fees is reduced. For students with income below one lakh complete tuition fees is reduced. I haven't undertaken any job roles or employments.

- The quality of food is top class, they provide very healthy food and also tasty food.
- Sports facilities are very good it really helped me to up my cricket and badminton skills.
Dislikes
- I think the government should have planted the trees that bear fruits in the campus... The trees here in campus are non fruiting.
- The audio system of the class could be improved.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The tuition fees are quite stable and do not fluctuate. My complete cost of fees is ?820000 as I do not avail any scholarship. There are schemes for economically backward classes. If income is 1 to 5 lakh then two third of the tuition fees will be reduced. If income is below 1 lakh then 100% tuition fees is free. There are also schemes for Physically Challenged students also. I have not undertaken any campus employment roles but there are Campus employment opportunities like Internships and stipends.
