Things you must know before coming to NIT ROURKELA

Difficulty level for the exam held by my college is quite high and able to pass but if you wanna have very good cgpa you have to work hard from initial classes , first year includes only theoretical knowledge and similar to intermediate, teaching methods are good and this is the place where you can learn everything you want to learn

From 7 th semister students are able to start paid internships and compus placements are vey good amd very high rated companies like google amazon zomato tesla and wipro and many other companies came to my college and recently my senior got 1.2 cr as his package and the average package are around 15 lpa and after getting my degree i will run into business and become entrepreneur

Year wise fee is around 2,60,000 rs in which if the family income is less than 1 lakh then he has to pay 1,00,000 rs per year and this is also for sc and st caste people and if your family income is less than 5,00,000 rs then you have to pay 1/3 rd of the fee , i am paying 1 lakh per year as iam belong to obc category and family income is less than 1 lakh per annum , there is no merit cum need and all fee is included like mess fee lab fee hostel fee and many of my oc category friends pay the full fee as per the structure the is no admission fee and that is included during counselling of jee no need to pay extra , and we have to pay some fee for the counselling as counselling fee and there are some scholarships available for the students which are like reliance which can gain upto 2 lakh and also many

Here in nit Rourkela club plays a major role in cv and also for getting on hand projects for real time works and can be used for job interviews Students can run social groups and manage fest that are held inside the campus Classroom are with 3 projectors and all ar digital boards and air conditioner and also academic area is huge there is a huge library and while examination you can stay night upto 12 am

Among all NIT's NIT ROURKELA is very high skilled engineering college for the students who wants to do mechanical engineering so i preffered this college This college has huge area and it is the second largest engineering college in India with an area of 2000 acres Admissions are perfectly held as per the branches and they will ask each and every cirtificate of you so they can verify easy I also applied for nit trichy but i failed and secondly i appoed for this college and i got and also i applied for suratkal nit which is also a great college for mechanicla engineering but the highest package for mechanicals engineering is from nit rourkela so i joined I got rejected from nit trichy because my rank was some what high and it reject for about 300 rank difference You can come through jee mains and for mtech through gate exam

The exam are very strictly held and there will be two sessions as of jee but it is divided into mid and end semister and total marks for mid are 30 and total for end are 50 remaining 20 are for quiz viva attendance and class behaviour , easy to pass and grading system used and cgpa should be greater than 6.5 this is college requirement , faculty is somewhat good but they have very high knowledge so students feel very low , mechanical faculty is so good , they provide very high practical knowledge

Gym are very well equipped and every hall has a gym and there is a gym for couples and there is a swimming pool and there are many night canteen and open upto 1 am in the night and late entry are noted after 11 pm and no information to the parents there are many hangout places inside and outside the campus
