Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent by the AIU or Intermediate or 2-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects with 75% marks (65% marks for reserved category).
Entrance Exam:
Candidates must qualify for JEE Mains.

- For, SC/ST/PH/Family income<1lakh (Tuition fee completely exempted)
- For, students having family income between 1lakh to 5lakh per annum (Tuition fee is one-third of Tuition fees i.e. Rs. 20,833)

- The college placements are quite commendable.

Fees and Financial Aid:
Tution fee is 60000 per semester. Caution fee is a deposit of rupees 5000. The net fee per semester is around 1lakh 6 thousand rupees. There is concession for SC/ST or economically weaker sections students. The fee structure is similar for all branches of BTech. The institute also provides some scholarships that students can apply for using the college portal.
Likes
- I liked the campus environment which is so large.
- It is the largest nit in area wise, and the weather is so good.
Dislikes
- I don’t like the food, as it is salt and mirchi powder deficient.
- As the campus is big it becomes a problem to travel here and there.

The year wise fee is divided into two sem fees, which are 1lakh each for my batch.There are many scholarships if you belong to reserved category , and there is ascholarship of reliance which gives eligibility for students with income upto 15lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure covers tuition fees and other miscellaneous fees. I am paying 1 lakh a year or 50000 per semester. For Sc St students 100% fee waiver is there hence they pay only hostel and mess fee. When the counseling is going on one has to deposit 40000 in the name of institute as seat acceptance fee. Then after getting into NIT ROURKELA the first semester fee is adjusted with it. The institute has fee waivers on basis of family income of a student. For students having family income between 1 to 5 lakhs , 2/3 rd of the fees is waived off. For students having less than 1 lakh family income whole tuition fee is waived off

- My overall experience is very good because there is numerous things to do.
- Infrastructure is good and hostels are also well equipped.
Dislikes
- There is an issue of connectivity to the city for some students.
- Food quality and the menu may be not so good for some students with different students.
Fees and Financial Aid:
The course fee is divided in two aspects one is tuition fee ?62500 and another is other expenses which includes hostel, mess , medical fee , one time caution money etc. ?62500. There are numerous scholarship whicj are available such as FFE scholarship [?50k/yr], reliance scholarship [?50k/yr] , these are some private company which provide. On the govt. level each state has its own post matric scholarship for students , there are a lot different scholarships from state level for different eligible students. National govt. also provide scholarship. The alumni of college also give scholarship to few eligible scholars. people are getting internship offers in their 2nd year and 3rd year and placement offers in 4th year generally.

- as this campus is one of the largest campus in India so greenery is high.
Dislikes
- the curriculum is very much strict in this college.
- there is very much high competition among the students here.

the fees is 202000/- rupees per annum, also if you are from sc/st category or ews then tuition fee is waved off. If the annual income the family is less than 1 lakh then whole tuition fee is waived off.
Likes
- Campus is very green and big and has very good facilities of grounds and restaurants
- Classrooms and lab facilities are good and have good infrastructure

- Rooms are small and single rooms are not given to students
- Clubs and professors from SAC are biased towards odia people

The complete cost for one semester is around 1lakh rupees. It includes everything like hostel, education, service and other fees. The fee is a bit high compared to other NITs. There are many scholarships and financial aids available for students of low-income families and sc/ st. Stipends are given to MTech students if they work as TAs

- Campuse is very very good. And the environmental conditions also
- Transportation in this city is so nice. And airport bus trains are there.
Dislikes
- The faculties approaches to teach students is very poor.
- The college should give attention to the sports section.
Fees and Financial Aid:
For the sc , st students the tution fees is fully free. The thing they have to pay is hostel , mess and extra curricular.fees means we have to pay 98000/sem . Our college provides scholarship after 3rd yr and if that student have the talent he can join in second year also .

- The fast food stalls near the campus and tried many new things here

- The mess food quality was very bad and not good for health
- The attendance policy here is quite strict

The fees structure have grown exponentially from previous years... It has become twice or thrice the fees that was implemented 5 years ago... Till now i have got no scholarship... You can apply for a scholarship if you are eligible for it
Likes
- The thing I liked most is the place allocated for sports. We have a large perimeter of area for playing different kinds of sports such as cricket, football, handball, khoo khoo.
- We have a very much dedicated faculty members for providing students what they need.
Dislikes
- The attendance percentage required to clear a semester is high.
- Major area of the college is left unused, which may be better if used.

The feeling structure in our college includes many sub parts such as tution fee, mess fee, hostel fee, medical allowance, sports fee, fees for extra curricular activities and more.We have approximately a few of one lakh rupees per semester and we pay the fees semester wise.Some of the known scholarship our college students receiving are FFE, NSA, and reliance foundation scholarship.

- Faculty is NIT Rourkela have vast knowledge in the subject and their research works are so helpful

- Placement oppurtunities lack in our institute
- Course structure is not very well planned

Fee structure include tution fee, hostel fee, mess fee, maintenance fee, medical fee, student activity fee, other fee. They allow us to pay fee semester wise through sbi portal, which is 2,00,000 semester wise. Scholarships and financial assistance is also provided
