- The college I got was not my dream college but after exploring the campus and taking classes it felt fascinating I liked each and every thing about the campus and faculties behaviour not a single professor is having any kind of attitude.
- Here the involvment of students in studies is very high and mentorship quality is very good senior students are assigned as the mentors for the 1st year students.
- Currently I guess in NIT rourkela the girls to boys ratio is 30:70 not sure about it. Personal and professional development of student happens when they went to college after intracting with people from different places and parts of the country.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum in B.Tech is little bit tough but as much as you get involved in studies you will see that every thing for you becomes easier. It helps and provide exposure to so many real world problems . 2 exams are there in the whole semester 4 in a year 2 mid sems and 2 end sems. end sem gets little bit tougher as compared to mid sems.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the first sem the total fees was 136500 then in the next sem i gave 97254 as total fees including mess ,hostel and college fees and this will continue after completion of the course roughly the total filled fees will be 836500. I didn't get any scholarship. May be the fees will increase in further years not sure about it.
Campus Life
The first fest which I experienced here is cosmo the multi ethenic fest in the month of september then innovision the official tech fest of nit roukela in the month of noveber then major fest nitrustav in february and so many other fest happens throout the year. There is wide range of books available in library for study purpose and they are easily accesible there are more than 100 clubs in NIT rourkela all are very efficiently active and organise so many programs all over the year.
Admission
I wanted computer science and engineering branch and according to the merit list of jeemains and jossa counsilling I got NIT rourkela as my college to pursue the B.Tech degree.I apllied IIT Bombay, IIT delhi, IIT roorkee,IIT kanpur on the basis on my jee advanced rank.but didn't get those thus finally got admission in NIT rourkela. The admission process in the college is very smooth all the members involved in the admission process are very helpful but the counselling process of josaa is very much hectic.
Faculty
There are so many faculty members as there are various of departments and they are esily approchable by e-mails and their contact numbers. Till now I've intracted with so many faculties all are with 0 percent attitude and very talented . all are reday to help each and every student.
Night Life
In the sense of nightlife there is not much in the campus but the canteens and cafes in the campus are so fascinating dominos is also there. You can't go outside hostel after 10 in the night but one can come at any time int the hostel Golden jublee building is the safest place to hangout in night/
