BIT Mesra Reviews on Placements, Faculty and Facilities

Placements at BIT Mesra are good. In ECE average package is around 10 LPA and a median of 9.5 LPA dream companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian, Walmart also come for campus providing packages more than 40 LPA and most of them take 10-15 students from the circuital branch. I am sitting for placement and further, I haven't decided.

From 3rd year onwards the students are eligible for campus placements. There are several big companies and smaller companies that approach including Microsoft and Atlassian, Samsung, Wipro etc. The highest packages for the IT branch as in 2021 were 52, 50, and 48 lacs. The majority of students get well placed.

The college has good placement records and also a beautiful campus. Admission is entirely through the JEE Mains score through the counseling held for the students qualifying Mains exam. You have great exposure the various clubs and societies. The only one thing which I didn't like was the campus was in the outskirts of the city which at times troubled us when we had of bus few things required for projects are other events. I have chosen BIT Mesra over other colleges because it is one of the oldest and prestigious engineering college established in 1955, though i have score 98.5 percentile in jee main 2019, I have enrolled for Mechanical engineering due to my love for physics, and also this college have very good laboratories with delicate machines only available in few colleges in india also there are a lot of student clubs which gives the environment to students to upskill themselve and not stay restricted to their courses, students from different parts country come here so the exposure is also good.

JEE MAINS

It is the best college in Jharkhand for the BTech. About 70% of the students from our course(Mechanical engineering) got placed. The average salary package offered is 7.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like IOCL, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Tata Hitachi, Vedanta, Jindal Steel, Hero MotoCorp, Hindalco, etc, visit our campus for placements. Campus crowd is huge, very good and spread over about 780 acres. You will enjoy your four years studying here and exploring the campus. Fests organised at our college are not of top-level, but it is good. You can also join different clubs and societies here. The connectivity is good during days, but you may find difficulties during the night. Overall it is a good package for 4 years.

BIT Mesra is ranked consistently among top engineering colleges in the country. This is the reason generally the crowd is good as top ranked students get into this. So one can find students from all over India with different talents and get to work with them. I feel students are the most significant push to BIT??s entry into the list of top engineering colleges. Now coming to faculties they are above average at best. Some are very good but ya as they say ??? Exceptions are not rules??. Mostly they teach you rote stuff and classes are pretty boring. BIT is generally strict with attendance, exams and assignments. Academic load is more compared with other NIT??s and closely ranked colleges. One needs to be sincere in theory as well as lab to score a good GPA(which I couldn??t bring :P ). I feel it is a good place if one wants to just study, learn,work hard and then aim for something practical in one??s field. You will be disheartened If you expect Discovery channel level professors, cutting edge research and 100% core placements from here.

this was the best college i was getting as per reputation. Even being in chemical i can get job in IT sector with a bigger salary than IEM CSE or KIIT CSE branch. Campus area is good also. It is near to my home as well.

Placement was the main criteria and the reputation of the college as one of the elite one. Plus some my relatives friends and family friend were passout of this Institute and are on great positions in their respected fields. And i wanted to choose electrical branches and from my rank this was the best option to choose.
