Remarks

I had applied for so many colleges like NIT Raurkela I didn't get that because of my insufficient JEE mains marks. I availed myself of the OBC quota there. There is nothing specific to mention about the requirements only your documents should be fair enough and you have got the college from Jossa. The admission process was so easy only I had to submit the required documents with the DD of admission fee and first semester.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I was always very much interested in designing circuits so I chose ECE. The departmental-wise ratio is about 20 students per professor(including assistant Professor). Most of them are Ph.D. holders and had done some very good research. The teaching style is in between average and good. Exams at BIT Mesra are really good and you will have to read all the concepts before exams for good grades.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities from campus are very less only 20-30 companies come every year. Stipend provided ranges from 20000 to 100000 based on the company. Companies come with some good plans after hiring you as an intern they provide a bunch of fields to choose from as per your skill profiles.

Placement Experience

5

Placements at BIT Mesra are good. In ECE average package is around 10 LPA and a median of 9.5 LPA dream companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Atlassian, Walmart also come for campus providing packages more than 40 LPA and most of them take 10-15 students from the circuital branch. I am sitting for placement and further, I haven't decided.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is approx 1.4 lakhs per semester which is a bit higher as compared to other NITs. Yes, here a scholarship is given to students named as GP Birla Scholarship which gives tuition fee refund up to 100% based on GPA.

Campus Life

5

Spring fests, sports fests are really very good and admirable. Bitotsav is the spring feat that is celebrated in mid of February. Vajra is the sports fest which is celebrated in early November. The library is awesome I find all the books there for our curriculum and higher also If needed. Clubs are so much active and provide a lot of opportunities to learn and grow.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

After the first year one room is allotted for each student. Facilities are good ventilated rooms with Lan, 24*7 electricity and all basic needs. Meal quality is average but specials days dinners are just awesome.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

On-campus placements are provided to pretty much everyone in the college. With one of the highest percentages of students getting placed, yet the average CTC offered is not up to loving standards, a lot of students opt for higher studies and IAS preparation after college.

We had very little companies for placement ibm and hcl came for bpo jobs.. About 80% left with no jobs after completing the session... Very poor placement opportunities. After completing the jobs most of us went to banglore for searching jobs... We had placement if any after completing 8 semesters We had ibm and hcl but they asked for donations before giving jobs. Packages were 3.6 Lakh to 5 Lakh per year. Overall 20% got placement. I prepared for Government exams after completing my degree.
