- I liked the campus surrounding with such a great scenery
- Jipmer has separate blocks for each kind of patients ( like women and children hospital especially for pregnant women's & their childrens )
- Cafeteria - Jipmer itself has 2 to 3 cafeteria running currently with good food and snacks provided especially for the students and staffs
Dislikes
- Large campus size so you need to walk for longer distance
Course Curriculum Overview:
I chose Bsc Anesthesia technology because I liked to work in operation theatres rather than in wards.
3 tests( internal assessments )are conducted every 3 month ( with the portions covered till the 3 months of duration)and 20 % from each is accounted for the final examination. A model exam is conducted at the end of 3 tests and 20 % from this is taken for the finals. The final examination accounts for 60% and the remaining 40% are considered from the above mentioned tests.
A 75% mandatory attendance is required overall to appear in the final examination.
And if it is less than 75% the student is detained for the particular subject in which he/she has low attendance % and is allowed to write the exams (3 tests + 1 model exam + finals ) with more than 75% attendance.
Teaching is professionally done by the professors, JRs & SRs of Jipmer.
Classes are taken in the Jipmer academic centre for the first year and for the next 2 years classes are taken by your departments we chose.

- The college atmosphere and ambience.. the infrastructure nd facilities
- The campus life is more good..the chances of placement are high..
- The faculty are very nice and provide adequate knowledge....

- The college academic is a bit stressful..
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum very well prepares us for the real world.. here we are given practice at the hospital where we learn a number of nursing skills, the faculties are skilled and experienced..
The syllabus has changed now which includes new scopes for nurses to achieve new heights such as forensic nursing etc

- Campus life is good. You get to learn a lot of things and enjoy at the same time
- Medical facilities for students is remarkable. You get free treatment if you're sick
- Facilities provided is great compared to other govt institutions
Dislikes
- Jipmer academic Center is not punctual which wasted a lot of our time for many things
- Less stipend for internship. It is 5000 per month now
- Not much attention is given compared to mbbs students
Course Curriculum Overview:
JIPMER is one of the top medical institutions in India. It provides a great exposure to latest technological advancements. If you want a good exposure to different laboratory methods, this is the best place. After this, you can also pursue higher studies in different fields of biology.

Course Curriculum Overview:
The course is for 4 years. Clinical experience will be included in each year including the first year. The curriculum is based on Indian Nursing Council. First year includes fundamentals of nursing and second and third year includes the heart of nursing which is medical surgical nursing.

- There is no ac in hostel they should look into it
- You cant take too many leaves 75% attendance should be there
- Year back system it should be changed because many of them get year back because of attendance issue if its 74.7%

-Its a profession we get best clinical exposure and i think there are more job opportunities
-after completing this course there are many job opportunities for us we can take any branches
-everything is good teaching methods and curriculum but the faculties need to be slightly behave good with students thats all
-exam will be conducted yearls there are 3 internals, one sendup examination and university examination

- Year back system is here.Even if u failed in one subject u have to continue with ur juniors
- Taking leave is risky. If u have attendance shortage u will be detained
- Academic stress and pressure is too high

I chose this course because it's the only independent paramedical course where one can refer medications. It has wide opportunities in business as well as medical practicing.
Faculty members all are MBBS graduates and holds PG degree in various medical field.

- It is hospitalized campus ,the campus attached with hospital
- Though it's a central government institutions the institution has autonomous actions
- Compared to other institutions we'll get more postings than theory class ,but it's a good thing however sometimes it will bore your journey

Once you complete this course from jipmer you will be having so many opportunities in various hospitals . Moreover you 'll get more options for post graduation course like Msc microbiology,Msc pathology,Msc Biochemistry etc

- And our common mess there we can buy anything in affordable price

- The partiality and more priority to pondicherry citizens
- Next is the language barrier.its really risk
- More patients are coming here,so there is possibility to spread diseases

The main thing is that will making jipmer different from other colleges is exposure of patients. Normally bsc students never get a chance to learn with cadavers. But here we can learn human anatomy by holding real specimens.

Like any other institution, JIPMER will offer you some of the best and worst days of your life.
Academically, I gained exposure to a vast variety of cases. This has worked to enhance my confidence as a medical professional.
In the Pediatrics ward, you may visit the neonatal ICU, and see how sick newborns are taken care of. You may attempt resuscitation on a baby. You may conduct deliveries in the Labour room, and perform minor sutures. You may interact with cancer patients, and others suffering from life threatening illnesses. You may work in the surgical emergency department.You’ll witness many births and deaths.
JIPMER lets you explore your field of interest. Whichever department you are interested in, you can volunteer for the same. You can volunteer in every department if you like, no one will stop you.

All the three insitiutes are popular and good for pursuing B.Sc Nursing program. But considering the factors such as infrastructure, faculty, exposure, internships, placements, etc. JIPMER stands on top of the other two colleges.
