Admission to LHMC is done through the NEET exam which is a national-level entrance exam for admission into all medical colleges. The eligibility criteria is at least 50% marks in class 12th in PCB 85% of the seats are reserved for Delhiites so it's comparatively easier to get in if you have a domicile in Delhi or you have done 11th and 12th from Delhi.

Best ever college for girls with high-end opportunities in every possible way. The obs gynae department and paediatrics provide good exposure during internship other departments are also well developed and managed well.
The entry is via the NEET exam conducted by NTA annually. Once you get the college allotted through counselling, you need to go to the acad section of Lady Hardinge Medical College to finalise and reserve your seat. The application form for the same can be printed online from the official website of the college. There is an 85% reservation for Delhi quota students so it's relatively easier for Delhiites to get a seat if you have the domicile of Delhi. Make sure that you take all the documents along with you including your 10th mark sheet and 12th passing certificate as they won't register you unless you get these documents. Also, your documents will be submitted in college for the complete duration of the course so make sure that you make multiple copies of your documents before submitting them in college. The application is easy as long as you have all the documents.
The procedure of admission was nice. The reservation benefits include categories like SC/St, OBC, General, EWS and PWD Everything seemed nice and comfortable Regarding improvement, I would suggest that details about all the documents that they ask for during admissions must be explained properly online as a notice beforehand so the students will be able to collect them easily.
For admission to this college, anyone must have cleared NEET ( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) with high ranks. If you are from the general category then you can secure your seat in LHMC with a rank under 5k from state quota up to 2nd round & mop-up round of the MCC counseling. For the NEET examination,,, forms are released by NTA on their official website & then a pen-paper mode examination is held nationwide on a particular day. For the general category, the form costs 1400 & for OBC, SC & ST category it's 700. To get regular updates regarding examinations official Site of NTA should be checked regularly. There are reservation criteria in our college which are stated by the government of India, to avail of the benefits of reservation you must have a caste certificate of the center not of the state. I think the reservation based on caste should be removed, despite the caste, it should be given based on financial conditions. For counseling,10k amount is submitted to MCC which is refundable

My friend shared her first-month experience as an MBBS student at LGMC. The initial days were very gloomy because almost everyone who failed to make it to their dream schools landed in LHMC. Also, the all-girls setting was somewhat new and difficult to adjust to after studying in co-ed all her life. However, soon everything started to become normal. She still vividly remembers how well her first dissection went. She made friends and their best hanging spot became the Statue of Lady Hardinge. All kinds of snacks from tea to noodles were available here.
The seniors were surprisingly more friendly than expected and introduced juniors to various societies and extended parent-like support. Ragging did not exist even in the smallest form making the campus very safe. She witnessed her seniors organizing functions efficiently making her realize the all-girls environment gave more opportunities to girls here than a co-ed college would ever give.
It was a month later that she realized that LHMC had never been her dream college or even her batchmates but the college warmly accepted everyone and would help her achieve her dream.
My friend shared her first-month experience as an MBBS student at LGMC. The initial days were very gloomy because almost everyone who failed to make it to their dream schools landed in LHMC. No, you certainly made the right choice by choosing LGMC over any other peripheral AIIMS. I have seen many medical aspirants run after the AIIMS tag and choose a peripheral AIIMS only to regret it later. Only the ones that have been established for about 5–6 years are worth taking admission in.
In my opinion, it’s better to go for a medical college that has a legacy of more than 10 years as it will be better academically, environmentally, and even in terms of the campus life it offers. Choosing LHMC will expose you to better opportunities especially because of its prime location in CP. Moreover, it also has Delhi Quota for MD. The clinical exposure is also unmatched and the internship opportunities will be plentiful.
So, put your worries to rest as you have made a wise decision by choosing LHMC over a peripheral AIIMS.
As a fresher at LHMC, you’ll realize the burden of being a med student. Tests will be conducted every week, and the academics will be burdened. But it is the case with co-ed medical colleges too.
From 2nd year though, things will start to relax. You’ll make friends, and start exploring. LHMC is located in CP, so you’ll have access to all the amazing spots. Sometimes you’ll bunk postings and party all night long.
But most importantly, you’ll feel extremely proud of being a part of LHMC.
A girls’ environment does get toxic at times. Gossip culture and rumors will be quite prevalent, but you’ll learn to pay no attention to all this. You’ll develop a good dressing sense by watching others dress up so elegantly. You’ll celebrate festivals, and create endless memories with friends.
So basically, life at LHMC is anything but boring.
The life of a PG resident of Delhi University colleges like MAMC, LHMC, and UCMS depends on the steam they belong to. For instance, LHMC OB-GYN and Paediatrics have the highest workload while the rest of the streams have relatively lesser workload.
Almost every stream has an equally high workload in MAMC be it Medicine, Surgery, Gyn, or Paediatrics. The heavy workload teaches the students to push their limits to achieve their goals. It trains them better and also imparts knowledge. Most MAMC graduates can handle any case confidently which even some consultants with an experience of more than 20 years find difficult to manage. UCMS on the other hand offers a moderate workload for all streams.
So, choosing MAMC will give you an all-rounded experience where you will gain maximum knowledge and experience. LHMC is a great choice if you are specifically interested in OB-GYN or Paediatrics only.
Your life will change for the better at LHMC. Here are a few things about this college-
Enjoy each and every moment at this college, and make use of all the resources.
Being a day scholar at LHMC has its own pros and cons.
LHMC is located in CP, and well connected to the rest of Delhi NCR via metro. So commuting on regular days is no issue at all. Metro time is rather enjoyable. You can catch up with friends from other colleges. It is a good opportunity to finish your typing/editing work and save up some time. Metro will become an indispensable part of your daily routine.
But during exams, and particularly practicals, spending 2+ hours commuting is a waste of time. Even during theory exams, it is a struggle to travel back and forth from the college daily.
Carrying heavy books to and from the college is very hectic, one such book is Park’s and Robbins. Another thing is that you’ll miss out on a lot of fests and events. Traveling back home after the celebrations is an issue.
So yes, there will definitely be days when you regret being a day scholar at LHMC. But it is mostly during fest and exams.
