How was your experience in Lady Hardinge Medical College??

Lady Hardinge Medical College has been a great choice for my MBBS. The hostel facilities are decent, and the mess food is quite good, with a varied menu. The library is open 24/7, which is a huge plus for studying.

Although the course can be intense, with term exams every couple of months, the support from faculty and seniors really helps. Plus, the location in Delhi is convenient for both studies and social life.

If I had the chance to pick a college for my undergrad again, I'd definitely choose differently. The undergrad experience here isn't great. The administration doesn't really pay attention to us. Getting a hostel room isn't easy, and even if you do, it's hard to enjoy it because there's often no water supply. As an intern, you work nonstop for three months, but they still hold back your stipend.

On the first day, they present the college as prestigious and tell you to reach out if you have issues. But when you do, they just scold you or act like they don't know what's going on, giving empty reassurances or telling you to compromise. Spending 5.5 years here means you'll even get tired of Connaught Place. The mess food is never good, no matter where you go. The auditorium is only used for official events, so students can't use it for festivals or the annual college fest.

Academically, it's decent, but the work environment is really toxic. In some departments, we're sent with patients and their families to places like Hauz Khas, AIIMS, RML, or Ganga Ram Hospital for referrals because we're just interns. It's unsafe since we're not trained for emergencies, and we have to travel with strangers in ambulances. When you bring this up with seniors, they might give you a contact number that's not even correct, and we often return around 7 PM even though our duty ends at 4 PM. We're also posted in RML and can be called in at any time, day or night, which doesn't make anyone feel secure. Basically, you're on your own here, so choose wisely.

I did my post graduation at Lady Hardinge Medical College, so I can’t speak much about the undergraduate experience. As a postgraduate, though, I loved the quick trips to Connaught Place and India Gate. After working those long 24-36 hour shifts, catching a movie and grabbing lunch really helped lift my spirits.

The campus doesn’t have many good food spots, with the hostel mess being the main option, but you can easily order from restaurants in Paharganj, CP, and Bangla Sweets. The college has a nice auditorium and administrative block, but that's about it for facilities. There’s a gym, but it’s pretty basic with not much equipment, and the campus doesn’t have a large playground. Overall, it’s a decent choice for postgraduates, though the campus isn’t as impressive as AIIMS, MAMC, or UCMS.

I’ve been enjoying my time at Lady Hardinge Medical College while pursuing my MBBS. The campus life is vibrant, with annual fests like Splash and Cobweb that blend academic and extracurricular activities. The faculty-student ratio is good, and the professors are approachable, which really helps in understanding tough concepts.

The fee structure is affordable, making it easier for students from various backgrounds to access quality education.

My experience at Lady Hardinge Medical College for the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) has been quite fulfilling. The course is undoubtedly challenging, but the faculty members are incredibly supportive. They are well-trained and experts in their fields, which makes a significant difference. The term exams are held every 3-4 months and are manageable if you stay consistent with your studies throughout the year. Overall, I feel well-prepared for my career in medicine.
