The fee structure is incredibly affordable; it’s just around Rs. 1300 per year, which is a steal for an MBBS course. The faculty here is top-notch, with doctors who have graduated from reputed colleges and are genuinely dedicated to teaching. Plus, the campus life is vibrant with events like the annual fest Splash and various societies that cater to different interests. I feel like the overall environment and opportunities here are just better suited for a budding doctor.

Anatomy and Physiology are particularly rigorous, whereas the Biochem department is relaxed at both colleges. The Physiology department is super chill, making it easy for everyone to clear internals. Even during the lockdown, they quickly switched to online classes, and now they're back to normal. At UCMS, most departments are laid-back, with less frequent internal exams. The faculty at both colleges is excellent, and some professors work at both. Plus, UCMS starts at 9 am, giving you that extra sleep you might need. 2. Hostel: After academics, hostels are the next big factor in choosing a college. UCMS has the edge here, offering single rooms from the first year to all students. Getting a room isn’t tough since there are plenty, and you can even personalize your space, except for installing an AC. The cost is quite low at 140 Rs/month. LHMC offers triple-sharing rooms, which is great if you enjoy living with others.

3. Mess Food: UCMS has a compulsory mess service for students, costing Rs 1250/month for boys and Rs 1000/month for girls. LHMC's mess fee is around Rs 2400/month, so UCMS lets you save some money for Swiggy and Zomato. While UCMS food lacks variety compared to LHMC, the taste is better. LHMC's mess fee is higher, and there's no free ice cream. UCMS also has a 24-hour canteen with quality food at a fair price, while LHMC's café closes at 6 pm.
