Course Curriculum Overview

4

As the curriculum is well organised and implemented as well. After completing one unit of each subject the exams are conducted as class test. We have postings in our 2nd year.We go to wards and observe patients. One thing that should be improved is teaching method. It should not be only slide reading rather it should be interactive one.

Internships Opportunities

3

As it is a medical College so after 4.5 years we do internship in same college for one year for which we get stipend. We get to know about how to treat patients and all. We also do internship in associated hospital. Duties are alloted in different wards and it has to be completed within given time.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total tuition fee of whole course is 6500 in LHMC which was submitted during admission time.Other charges are mess fees only which you have to pay monthly that is 2900. Hostels are alloted on merit based, first allot to AIQ then to DU quota students. There are special reservations for army personnels as central pool quota. There are 2 seats in this college for CW quota.

Campus Life

3

The annual cultural festivals of our college namely splash which is intercollge held in April or May and cobweb which is intracollge fest I haven't seen after we entered the college. Library is open for 24×7 and it accomodates every journal, books etc.To issue any book you have to make a library card which is made on the basis of your college I'd card. There are no facilities for sports here. Only indoor sports are available with small gym area. Girls play on their own and participate in different colleges sports event and won medals too. Here you can see women empowerment in its true form. There is a social group formed by students named querencia which guide students about all form of sex, about lgbtqi and many more.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

One room alloted to two students with two beds and table chair. ACs are not allowed. Common washroom for each floor. Food is good but fruits are not given in morning for breakfast, we have to buy it. Based on different quotas.

Admission

All the informations are available at DU site and college site with their Admission process requires documents in their original form and self attested. There should be photocopies of each document. The cutoff in 2022 was 550 I guess.

Faculty

3

Faculty members are so humble and strict too. They teach us by reading the slides. There are many ways to interact with teachers like through SDLs, practicals, SGDs etc. All the faculty members are well educated and they pass their exams and interviews to get into the college as faculty member.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS curriculum is mostly standard, but its relevance is super high because of the massive patient load at SJH. That clinical exposure is the key thing that prepares you for both real life and NEET PG later—that’s why I chose VMMC. Improvements? We need less lecturing and more interactive case discussions and maybe more emphasis on research. Exams are non-stop, seriously! We have internals/semester exams every 3-4 months. They are tough (50% passing), but they force you to study well for the final big Proffs. It’s tiring, but it works.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very well structured and includes detailed study of all the aspects of medicine which is very relevant in today's world. Since mbbs curriculum is more about practical and less about theory we get a really good patient exposure which makes us ready to deal with patient problems in real life. The course curriculum can be made a little less hectic as in fourth year there are 11 subjects to cover so they can be distributed equally in all the other years and teaching methods can be made more interactive instead of professors just reading the slides monotonously

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum of mbbs is very comprehensive and makes you capable of handling medical emergencies, and not miss out on diagnosing critical cases. With the new CBME curriculum by nmc in place, additional focus is also given on the AETCOM (attitude, ethics and communication) module which is aimed at improving the quality of healthcare professionals produced by this country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is decided by the NMC therefore it is same for all of the doctors. Our college has a good clinical exposure and thus we learn a lot. The course prepares you well, but you always have to learn by yourself. In the area of clinical expertise the treatment of common disease must be taught separately. We have exams Nearly every 3 months, which can be tough to manage, considering that you have to score an average of more than 50% in them . Difficulty level is intermediate
