The Army College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, is popularly known as ACMS, Delhi, and was established in 2008 by the Army Welfare Education Society. It is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). ACMS is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. The institute has been ranked 23rd by India Today and 39th by Collegedunia for MBBS in 2025.

ACMS offers MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery). The 1st year ACMS fee for MBBS is INR 3.97 lakh. Candidate should have 60% in 10+2 PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). Selection is based on NEET UG score, followed by MCC Counselling.

ACMS Placement 2025 data is not released by the official website. However, ACMS Placement provides information on a compulsory 12-month internship after completion of MBBS through the Military Base hospital, Delhi cantonment. A salary of INR 25,000 per month is stipulated.

ACMS Admission 2025

ACMS offers admission to the MBBS program. AMCS Admission is based on the NEET UG entrance exam, followed by Counselling. Candidates have to apply at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (ipu.ac.in) for admission to ACMS.

Admission to MBBS is based on NEET UG, followed by MCC Counselling. Based on the NEET score, candidates have to register for MCC Counselling @mcc.nic.in.

Ans. ACMS, Delhi, and AFMC, Pune, are both renowned medical colleges of India. ACMS and AFMC differ significantly in their structure and admission process. The table below describes the differences between:

Any available financial assistance or scholarship is typically governed by the Army Welfare Education Society's policies and is not advertised as a fee waiver.

Ques. Does ACMS provide hostel accommodation to the students?

Ans. Yes, ACMS provides well-maintained hostel accommodation for both girls and boys. Hostel accommodation is compulsory for first-year students and is available throughout the course. The ACMS hostels charge approximately INR 7,000 per month, including room rent and mess charges. 1st to 3rd year students share double occupancy rooms with attached washrooms, while final year students get single occupancy rooms with attached washrooms. ACMS hostels are well-furnished and secure.

Faculties of our college are mainly from AFMC Pune, so the teaching methods and mentorship qualities are good
I feel safe and secure in and around the college and hostel as it is inside the cantonment area
Quality of infrastructure, including campus amenities and learning facilities are good.

Dislikes

From my side I felt like the college gives least importance to the students need and demand , and we have to follow whatever the higher authorities decide.
The college gives no importance to the extra curricular activities which we need as in a college.
The clinical exposure which we need is very less as compared to a government college

Students view on course curriculum

The MBBS curriculum recently updated by NMC is mainly based on how we will deal with a real life situation and focused mainly on diseases which are prevailing in India . The teaching method should be on a blackboard rather than reading a PPT which no one can understand . There should be weekly exams for all the subjects with focus on NEET PG mainly MCQ type.

Internship opportunities provided by the college

The internship period is of one year after the course where we will work at the Base Hospital where adequate clinical exposure is not there as it is reserved for only army people. Each month we will get a stipend of Rs 25000.

Fees of the course per year

The tuition fees of our college is increased every 3 years but from 2022 batch onwards the yearly fees has been reduced to around 3 lakhs as per NMC rules . The complete cost of my education is around 30 lakhs including my yearly tuition fees , hostel fees and mess fees. As I'm from army background and my father is an ex service man I'm getting PMSS scholarship , around 36000 early. Apart from this there is also e district scholarship, scholarship for SC / ST students are also there. We are getting stipend amount of Rs 25000 monthly during our internship.

Students view on campus life

The fest of our college is AURA and is held annually and apart from that there is college day , academic day and other than this there are no other fest held. The accessibility of books and journals are adequate and the technological provision within the classroom is good . There is basketball court, volleyball ground and badminton ground and the college promotes all the sports and extracurricular activities especially cricket. There are many student run social groups and club related activities are there which are active and participating in that make you adapt to the environment, with your peers , to make new friendship and to learn new skills

Facilities provided in the college hostel

The hostel facilities are the best where you have to share your room with one of your batchmate till third year after which you will be alloted a separate room for final year and the room have ample facilities like fans , geyser, lights , sepate shelves , bed and table. The daily meal of hostel is rich in protein and is adequate with a daily charge of Rs 130 (, breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

Students view on faculties

The faculty to student ratio is less and it had a negative impact on my learning experience especially in clinical subjects. The faculties are from AFMC Pune mainly and their approach to teaching and mentorship needs improvement. I feel free to approach my teachers at any time regarding the doubts and the interaction with them is good.

Eligibility criteria to get admission in the college

I got admission through neet UG exam and before the exam we have to apply for this college in GGIPU under which the college is and we have to upload the marks and rank in the website. Thecut off for each year varies but usually between 20000 to 30000 ranks. 80 % of seats are reserved for children of army personnel and 20% for Delhi SC ST students. The admission process starts few days after neet UG exam result and the admission is a two day process including medical examination is there.

I choose this college because of its high NIRF ranking of 24 in all over india, also its high rated on various sites, there is no such rural bond that is in almost every state college. I got also state college from my home state but i knew thats ACMS is better than most of them so i preferred it, also i was very keen to study in Delhi thats why i choosed it. Admission in this college is done through the ip university. After you are done with the neet ug exam all you have to do is to fill an ip form on their website and upload all the documents you have then you will receive a confirmation letter from their site where your documents are verified successfully then you have to make a choice filling then according to your marks and ranks you will be allloted the college.

First of this college is in delhi which has a benefit for us . Our college is connected to the base hospital which is the largest base hospital in the country
Infrastructure of college is one of the best in delhi especially the hostel according to me this is the best hostel of any medical college in delhi

Dislikes

Though it is campus of 500 students still it is very small in terms of gossips
College is very strict in terms of attendance and internal marks

Admission:

First of all there is national level enterence exam is conducted NEET after that counselling will start by IPU university which has a separate form after there will be 3-4 rounds of counselling occur . After the allocation of seat you can visit college directly and complete the formality

Admission:

Admission takes place through entrance exam and the whole counselling was online and in the basis of reservation. I want to remove the reservation and want admission purely on the basis of marks. More involvement of students and colleges on the same is required.

Army College of Medical Science offers MBBS course only. The admission to the MBBS course is based on NEET UG scores. The eligibility of the course is to complete HSC with at least 60% marks (50% for SC and ST categories).

The admission registration forms are not available at present on ACMS New Delhi official website. It is expected that the forms will be released after the declaration of NEET UG and PG results.

The total fee of Army College of Medical Sciences MBBS is INR 18.01 lacs. The first-year fee is INR 4.57 lacs. The second, third and fourth year fees are the same INR 4.57 lacs.
