Everything you need to know before entering jipmer

Likes

I liked how you get to have a great exposure on the field yiu have chiosen be ot theory wise or practical wise . You get to experience high level academic facilities
You get to have a well educated faculty and also they guide you through the course

Dislikes

As a medico , you don’t get to have a fun life like the students in arts . But still you can enjoy all the events happening here

Course Curriculum Overview:

The overall course experience is amazing as you are taught by the professor who wrote the book itself . You get a great practical exposure . Every year proffesors try to teach the students in a better and more advanced way . There are 3 internals , a sendup and a university exam . You are required to have a 75% attendance and should be eligible to write university exam . About curriculum, Those who are interested in athletics or sports , you get to participate and have a chance to compete with students of afmc and be a part of their events . Jipmer provide opportunity for every talent you have be it dance, singing , instrumental music, sports , arts and best thing is you can visit otger nedical colleges like afmc , cmc . Also compete with them . Also jipmer every year conduct a 7 day long event called spandan where you get to showcase your talent . And interclass and other tournaments add to it .

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBBS is one such course which requires sheer determination and excess amount of efforts both physical and mental. The curriculum is very huge compared to what we read in 12th std and the practical aspect of handling patients requires lot's of knowledge. The clas lectures help you to some extent but self prep is a must In JIPMER, we have 3 IAs per year and then one model exam and an end year university exam. The difficulty level reduces from IA to university exam

Hostel,Friends, hospitals ,department, regional cancer centre , staffs, doctors
Celebrations festivities, intercalss competition
Spandan, holi, onam, campus life, facilities, blood bank

Dislikes

Character of staff towards local patients
There is less campus life compared to other collages
We should enter the hostel within a time of 11 o clock in night

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as 8 out of 10 because we have more practical hours than theoretical hours. So our practical skills are more compared to other collage students. But one drawback is we had only 3 year of course Nowadays 4 year course is acceptable in most of the countries for further higher studies except UK and Ireland.

Campus is the main thing. It really refreshing to walk through campus in early morning.
Gym availability. There are variety of equipments.
Cleanliness. There are thousands of staff working to keep campus clean

Dislikes

Campus being so huge. We need to have a vehicle always to move to places within campus.
We can't go out of hostel after 10 pm.thats something I don't lyk.
There is no shops inside the campus that provide book, pen and all these necessary items.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is the best. Jipmer log book is one of the best in the country. It help to improve our clinical skills. Teachers are highly skilled. There is equipped lab for demonstration. Often they make us do return demonstration. 2023 BSc nursing students have revised curriculum that includes module. It contain includes various assessment for us to do like head to toe assessment. Which improves our practical skills. We have internal exams thrice in a week. Moderate level of difficulty. Portions comes from the syllabus. Examination difficulty depends on your preparation. No out of syllabus questions been asked.

I liked in jipmer is its ambience that is like everywhere there is greenery.Everything is beautiful here
I also like the park facility for children and also for adults for doing some chit chats in evening and for morning and evening walk
In jipmer the best part is that our college is in-front of our hostel

Dislikes

I dislike the most is about the year back system
I also dislike the distance to walk from our hostel to get to the main entrance
I also dislike the climate here in jipmer

Course Curriculum Overview:

The jipmer curriculum is really good and is acceptable for all the students.It makes our education more effective and competitive.Everyone is able to work based on the curriculum.There is an year back system in jipmer which makes students to do hardwork and get good score so that they won't get year back.The written exam is 3 hrs and is somewhat difficult to write that exam in that period of time.

Jipmer the happiness

Likes

Freedom of the collage and the sports day in my college
Spandan in our college is very good and also enjoyable
The teaching in pettern in the college is very good

Dislikes

The attandance maintenance is very difficult for the students
The security of the Jipmer are very strict
There is no much leave in Jipmer only summer and winter vecation

-Bmls course only found in Jipmer and and AIIMS that's why I am joined Jipmer -cariculam is very well and extraordinary -they teach as very well and they treat like mbbs student s 3 month interval exam is happening

Academic plannings is very well and it helps students a lot to become perfect in their respective field
Cultural events and sports that are conducting in jipmer is also interesting and helps to loose our stress ful life

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will give 9/10 for course curriculum. Because, curriculum which is followed by the jipmer making a student to be most perfect in their field. According to curriculum for bsc degrees in jipmer, which is 4 year course including one year internship in jipmer itself, first year classes will mostly based on general things.which includes subjects such as anatomy physiology microbiology pathology so on.. from second year onwards we have to concentrate only on our respective fields,this makes more perfect on the field that we chose.The timings also comfortable for students for first year we have 2 days in department and balance days we have to attend lectures in other subjects, from second year onwards we have to be in department only..classes are taken there itself.

Sparkling life of jipmerites

Likes

The friendship and social life that we get here i s amazing
Exposure to lot of students from different parts of the country and their cultures
Excellent infrastructure with 24×7 wifi facility and library to focus on studies

Dislikes

The crowd due to more patient inflow from different parts of country
Walking alone at night inside the campus is not safe
There is some deviation from the code of conduct for women in some circumstances

I chose this course because it has both therapeutic and diagnostic features which made me more curious to learn it. As it is an upcoming field there are high job opportunities in India as well as in abroad.

Jipmer my final destination is here

Likes

- there is huge facilities for sports and for extracaricilum activities
- there is huge play ground for both football and cricket as well as futsal ground
-there is a indoor stadium for badminton, volleyball and basketball and huge swimmingpool with very clear water

Dislikes

- there is only one big program conducted ina a academic year
-there is proper safety for students form locals
- they didn't provide proper guidance about the academic rules

-jipmer provide so much clinical exposure -it helps to behave with patients and provide maximum potential of our ability - facilities provided on sports must be improve. The faculties shoulbe much more friendly with students - exams is conducted on yearly and is it in moderate level

Academically, I gained exposure to a vast variety of cases. This has worked to enhance my confidence as a medical professional.

In the Pediatrics ward, you may visit the neonatal ICU, and see how sick newborns are taken care of. You may attempt resuscitation on a baby. You may conduct deliveries in the Labour room, and perform minor sutures. You may interact with cancer patients, and others suffering from life threatening illnesses. I secured 548 marks(GEN) in neet 2022 and I want to pursue Bsc Nursing. Which college should i choose from JIPMER,LHMC,RAKCON? I want to work abroad after my nursing degree. I am from Maharashtra. Please help me regarding these. I am very confused what college to choose as I am eligible for all the colleges.

All the three insitiutes are popular and good for pursuing B.Sc Nursing program. But considering the factors such as infrastructure, faculty, exposure, internships, placements, etc. JIPMER stands on top of the other two colleges.
