- Location, reputation and environment
Dislikes
- I went after covid so still a lot of quarantine and isolation
- I was also homesick for a while
Campus Life
- The University of East London has multiple campuses, including the main campus. There is a sports club, libraries, and multiple clubs like sororities, including an Indian Club that celebrates all the Indian festivals and events.
- They also have Bollywood nights and a welcome freshers week. It is a good place for whenever you are homesick.
Likes
- UEL have very Big campus with car parking and charging station inside the campus. And it's near by riverside because of that surroundings will be always ambient.
- Student HUB is very helpful specifically for the international student. We have timing for the hub from morning to evening all weekdays which is really helpful to solve the queries regarding fees payment, opening banking account in UK, getting help to apply for student letter, concession on rail card and many more things.
- Inside the college campus getting Costa coffee, Starbucks, Restaurants and Food vending machine, this all things getting in campus is quite reliable for the student to get a variety of food, coffee and snacks inside the campus on reasonable price with good quality of food.
Dislikes
- Teaching way of professor is not the interactive, they mostly open the PPT and form that they read and suggest to watch the YouTube videos for more detail information and knowledge.
- There is no jain food in the whole college campus, so it's quite difficult for the people who are jain, there is no other option for jain people instead of cooking and bringing their own lunch box.
- Most of the students smoke, specially they used to take vape and they think they are being smart while smoking and here people are getting addicted towards it like anything. And sometimes because of their addiction we have faced fire alarm issues.
Campus Life
- UEL has two campuses. UEL's first campus is Dockland University Way, near Royal Albert Dock. The second campus is in Stratford, close to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
- On my campus, UEL Dockland, we have a library, yoga classes, a sportsdock with a football club, a table tennis club and many more, a religious practice place, and medical services too.
- Campus major festivals are Christmas, Halloween, the New Year party, Holi and Diwali.
- In UEL, mostly people are crazy about football clubs, as we have football tournaments at international level, where there is opportunity for male and female both. We have career events and a student hub, which is really helpful for all the international students with queries regarding their careers and their courses too.
Fees
- Tuition fees: the tuition fees of my course are 18000 pounds overall for a year.
- I didn't take hostel because it was too costly inside the university. So I decided to take it outside the college and I took a rented house where I needed to pay 450 pounds per month and it was in sharing with one person. I had to pay 450 pounds, including all the bills, except groceries.
- Fee charged at my college is semester wise or you can pay the whole fees in one go; it's up to you but there is a deadline for all, which you have to follow, or else you will pay more than usual.
- Monthly expenses, including all, will be 700-800 pounds.

Likes
- The university campus: The University of East London Docklands campus is truly the epitome of beauty, you can never get enough of the fresh cold breeze and the scenic beauty and the sunsets.
- The university accomodation: Im an international student and I was not able to find good private accommodations, but then i decided to stay on campus, and im really grateful i did. All the bills are included and we get a private room in a very less price as compared to places nearby. If you face any electrical, plumbing issues, it is fixed within an hour or two, thats really commendable.
- Course Structure: The courses are really well structured and are designed according to the future aspects as well. There are no useless theories and the practicals are conducted very often as well.
Dislikes
- Lectures Timing: The timings of the classes are quite poorly managed.
- Less Exposure: Despite being a good university, the crowd which i found was not upto the mark, very much indian students and less exposure to international european or any other students.
- Career zone: The career zone of the university is trying to level up themselves but yeah that is one think to consider before coming here.
Campus Life
- Our college has 3 campuses:
- Docklands (Main) - University Way, Newham
- Stratford
- USS
- I stay and attend classes at the Docklands campus. The other two campuses are a bit far, but the university has a free bus throughout the day during lecture periods so that students can travel from one campus to another without any problem.
- The university has an excellent library, which is open 24/7 for the students with high-specification computers and a wide range of books as well.
- The university has a free gym for students during off-peak hours. Various sports activities are done here. Cricket, basketball, volleyball, and badminton—all kinds of sports are encouraged!
Fees
- My yearly fees is £15960 for the first year. I have a placement year as well so additional £3500 for that.
- I also have the oncampus occomodation till term 1(january). It costs me £750 per month including all the bills and maintenance.
- My monthly expense for all the groceries is around £50-60, but that is subjective. If you are a fun and outgoing person, it will definitely cost you more.

- There are two Campuses- One is Docklands campus and another is Stratford Campus. I belong to Docklands campus, which is a beautiful campus which is situated at the banks of river Thames.Riverside is the best and my favorite spot .
- The library is also one of the best spots for reading. I normally go to the sport block for gym and entertainment.
- All the Indian festivals are celebrated and many events are organised.
- There is also a student Union which helps in every aspect.
Fees
- For my Total course fees - 24000 GBP, My Hostel and mess charges 15000 GBP and for transport, weekend expenses and parties, for tour and travelling charges are about 5000 GBP.
- I paid my total fees in two installment. Monthly with all expenses it cost me about 1500 GBP approx.
- Some times I spend more for one month and budget it for another month which overall balanced the budget

Overview
I chose this university mainly because of course accreditation, friendly staff, support provided to international students. Experience is overall satisfactory.
Campus Life
The structure is nice. There are regular events in the college, has its own underground bar where parties take place. The interest structure is amazing. A lot of communal space. The only issue is that students from some specific courses don’t have many classes and hence they don’t have to come to university on a regular basis.

- The university library is also amazing with free printers and publishers.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the course structure and the subjects.
- The placement from the University was also not good for my course, I didn't get a single opportunity to interact with any of the hiring companies.
Overview
It was a great experience because it was the first time I went abroad to study. I met hundreds of different countries people and learnt a lot from them. There is one sports club as well in the University, which attracted me more to get admission in the University because they are sending people to national and international clubs from there.
