Colleges Where I Was Accepted
Reason for choosing my college
- Priority, FLEXIBILITY, REPUTATION, LOCATION, SAFETY, BUDGET, ACCESS TO OTHER AREAS AND REGIONS, Weather. It was also one of the good areas in London with plenty to do whenever I wanted a break from studying. It was also in one of the safe areas in case that ever became an issue. I also have a good travel network.

Tips to enhance your application
- Do your research and make a list for ambitious universities and safety nets as well. I made a list of countries I would like to visit, did my research shortlisted and made a priority list and then started applying.
Admission Experience
- Reputation, Location, Safety, Opportunities, room for growth, extracurricular activities, clubs, lifestyle, accessibility, campus location and scenic experience. Course availability, affordability, and placement options. Program range, also I had access to more than just campus and university. I had access to a new culture and a new lifestyle.
Class Schedule
- 4-5, timings vary, and the schedule varies as well. Lectures last between 45 minutes and 60 minutes. I had a 20% Indian crowd. I used to have assignments for every class; how long you spend on those assignments and presentations may vary from individual to individual.
- We also had presentations and exams. Presentations included individual powerpoint presentations and group powerpoint presentations. There was a time we had to develop a physical business model and that was the most fun we had.
Faculty
- Faculty is really nice and helpful. They have a system to book appointments in case you have any queries, need some extra help, need a push, or just want to review something. They also help you with future career questions, if any. There is career help but I found it easier to find a job on my own instead and work on my terms.
Campus Life
- The University of East London has multiple campuses, including the main campus. There is a sports club, libraries, and multiple clubs like sororities, including an Indian Club that celebrates all the Indian festivals and events.
- They also have Bollywood nights and a welcome freshers week. It is a good place for whenever you are homesick.
Part Time Jobs
- The easiest way to find a job is to do your research and network. Talk to people, ask for opportunities, ask about openings, and go to walk-in interviews. Go to interviews even if you think you are not qualified. The worst that can happen is they say "NO." The best? You get your dream job. Pay varies depending on the job.
- It is easier to get a job on your own than at a university (at least from my experience). There are multiple job opportunities that may vary depending on your course, area of interest and area of expertise. The pay range may vary anywhere between 10 GBP per hour and 50 GBP per hour. (Number may vary.)
Placement
- The University of East London has a 91% employability rate (could vary). It took me a while to land a job I wanted and sometimes I think I still don't have my dream job, but everyone has a different journey. Salary range also differs on different factors, like have you applied for a PSW? Where are you working and what is your field of expertise?
