The University of East London acceptance rate is 56%. The moderately selective UEL admissions policy ensures sufficient space for eligible students. The university currently houses more than 40,000 students across its 3 campuses, pursuing over 300 UG and PG courses. University of East London Postgraduate Admissions

UEL offers admission to 151 postgraduate taught degrees across 17 study areas. The admission requirements for masters programs at University of East London are as follows:

• Postgraduate Degree Programs:
  • At least a 3-year, Second Division Honours Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, or Commerce.
  • Equivalent degrees such as BEng, BTech, B Laws, B Agriculture, B Medicine, or B Dentistry are also accepted.
• Minimum Score Requirement:
  • 50% or above from top universities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Anna, Bharatiyar, MSU Baroda, and Bangalore.
  • 55% or above from all other recognized institutions.
• University-Specific Requirements:
  • Gujarat Technological University: Minimum CGPA 5.8
  • Amity University: Minimum CGPA 5.5
  • Kannur University: Grade B or above (A = 75-89, B+ = 60-74, B = 50-59)
• Advanced Standing: Students with 1-2 years of a degree, an Edexcel HND, or another recognized qualification may be eligible for advanced entry (subject to the School’s discretion).
• Pre-Masters: A minimum aggregate of 40% (Third Class) in a degree from a recognized institution.

Notes:

• MBBS degrees without a final classification are accepted with a ‘pass’ grade.
• Degree certificates listing multiple parts (Part I, II, III) refer to different subjects, including compulsory languages.
• Provisional degree certificates are accepted but must be accompanied by final or official transcripts.

University of East London Undergraduate Admissions

Indians can select from 120 undergraduate programs at UEL in 18 subject areas. The admission requirements are as follows:

• Minimum Eligibility Criteria by Education Board:
  • CBSE/CISCE (All India Senior School Certificate): 60% or above.
  • State Boards (Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Seven Sisters of India): 60% or above.
  • Kerala State Board: 65% or above (Year 12).
  • All Other State Boards: 70% or above.
• Mathematics Requirements (Program-Specific)
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) Mathematics (Year 12): 50% or higher.
  • If Mathematics is not taken in Year 12: 80% or higher in Year 10 Mathematics.
  • For Royal Docks School of Business and Law (RDBS) courses: 60% or higher in Year 12 Statistics or Accountancy.
• Subject-Specific Requirements:
  • Level 3 Subject-Specific Courses: HSC with Grade B or 70% in relevant subjects.
  • First Year of a Degree or Diploma: Relevant subject with required modules.
  • Foundation Year/International Foundation Programme: Minimum 50% aggregate in HSC/Standard 12/All India Senior School Certificate/Indian School Certificate, with 50% in Mathematics.

Alternative Entry Through Diploma: Indian students can enter UEL by completing a 3 or 4-year Diploma from a State Board of Technical Education or an Allied Health subject with 55% or above.

University of East London Admission Decision Types

The various types of decisions at UEL are as follows:

• Unconditional Firm (UF): Your place at UEL is confirmed, and you are officially in.
• Conditional Firm (CF): You have a place, but you must meet specific conditions (such as grades or requirements) before it is confirmed.
• Conditional Firm (CF) & Conditional Insurance (CI): You have a first-choice offer and a backup. If you meet the conditions for your first choice, you will be admitted. If you do not meet the conditions, you may still qualify for your second choice.
• Conditional Firm (CF) & Unconditional Insurance (UI): Your first choice is conditional, meaning you must meet certain requirements. However, your second choice is guaranteed, so, even if you do not meet the first, you will still have a secured place in the second.

Note: You can accept only one firm choice and, one insurance choice if you wish. All other offers must be declined.
