I really like the campus of my college. It feels really nice to sit outside classrooms makes me feel close to nature
Quality education- The teachers of the commerce department are amazing.
The events my college organises are very fun

Dislikes

Back to back classes. The schedule is tightly packed
The canteen is small and cannot accomodate more than 20 people at a time
The college does not provide placement opportunities

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is relevant and includes not only theoratical knowledge but also practical knowledge. Our evs teacher takes us to various places to teach us and does not stick to only the book. The curriculum includes assignments that add value to a person.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 32000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees that i'm paying is approximately 32000 for a bcom program degree from jesus and mary college. The fees according to me is justified and is not high like private colleges. My classmates from other category have a slightly lesser fees.

Campus Life

We have multiple annual festivals. One of them being sparsh which is generally held in august around diwali. Apart from festivals our library offers a variety of books which are sufficient enough. The technological provision my college has are like any other DU college. Its not a lot but does the job. Our college has multiple societies for one to choose from and focuses on sports aswell. These societies teach us so much.

Admission

The admission process of Du is very rigid and impractical one may say. My admission to my college of choice Srcc was not possible due to my cuet score being lower than the required score. It also provides reservation to students belonging from st/sc/obc background even though they are financially well off.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is decent. The kind of quality education that my college provides is commendable. The faculty is helpful and cooperative. JMC fosters a very friendly environment for the students.

Night Life

The nightime life around JMC is very happening because the college is based in south delhi in chanakyapuri which is the hub for clubs restaurants and cafes. Places like satya niketan are good for a sudden plan.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very interesting & it teaches you a lot about the entrepreneurship. Specially in the field of commerce it gives you the right information and exposure to the real world. Subjects like Corporate law , business law , Cost accounting and etc teaches you a lot about practicality.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say that SEC and VAC, were added by the university to enhance students mind, but these subjects feel more like burden to the students. And also the theoretical and numerics being taught, are not relevant to todays world, as curiculum in the books is not upto date, The assignments pressure.. and sometimes the fear of getting low marks.

MLNCE - Average but Enjoyable

Placement Experience:

The placement in Motilal Nehru College (Evening) is decent and is led mainly by the Placement Cell. Though inactive earlier, the placement cell has become significantly more active recently, bringing in more internship and job opportunities. Students become eligible for placements during 3rd year. In a good placement season, companies like Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY come for Audit, Taxation, Risk Advisory, HR jobs. Other companies like DE Shaw & Co, Accenture, Capital IQ also come during job fairs. Earlier, Wipro, TCS, Amazon, Flipkart have also recruited from the college mainly for Sales, Business Development, Operations jobs. Highest on-campus package is ?18.7 LPA and rhe average package is ?3.6-4.5 LPA. Approximately 40% to 50% of students who participate in the process secure placements. My plan is to get into freelancing after college.

An Unfiltered View of SRCC

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRCC is very amazing, and way beyond the placements of DU colleges. A lot of big big names in Finance, and consulting domain, recruit from campus including McKinsey & Co., Bain & Company, Kearney, Big 4s and all. Highest package is 35+ LPA and Average Package is 10 LPA. I HAVE PLANNED TO complete my ACCA along with a little work experience.

Underrated College- An honest opinion

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

All about SRCC life, exposure, placements, faculty and my experience

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

My view regarding my college

Remarks:

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.

JMC is a beauty!!

Girls college was definitely the priority and only two colleges for which I wanted to go. First was LSR and then JMC. The cut-off for LSR was 763 and for KMC it was 745.
