Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well I chose Computer science and Engineering with specialzation in artificial intelligence and machine learning which has a very robust and up to date curriculam including new subjects like deep learning, soft computing, cloud computing and many more which helps prepare students for the future. The Mid sems of Class tests are conducted twice in a semester and End sem examination is conducted at the end of the semester lasting for 15 days.

Fees and Financial Aid

1.) Year-wise college tution fees is Rs. 62,070 Year-wise hostel fees is Rs. Rs. 36,960 So Total fees for entire year is Rs.99,090 2.) During your admisson registration fees is also included in the semester fees which is around 7,000 which makes the first semester fees exactly Rs. 37,980 (only for the first semester) 3.) All the other fees like exam fees, development fees, lab fees, etc are included in the Rs. 31,035/semester fees. Other expenses such as internet fees, newspaper fees and room rental is included in the hostel fees which is Rs. 18,480/semester. 4.). Hostel fees also includes mess charges which is Rs. 16,000/semster and 2,480 are the rest of the charges. 5.). The fees is same across all category students but there is the a relief for TFW students coming from very poor economic background for whom seats are reserved in the college. 6.). There are many scholarship including the NSP(National Scholarship Program) which pays around 40,000-50,000 per semester , there is also scholarship for women candidates which recieve special scholarship including AICTE pragati scholarship and many other private scholrships.

Campus Life

4

The campus life if very fun, we can climb mountains and even rest in the nature away from the city rush. Other than this there are 2 fests which are held namely GOONJ(Annual cultural fest) and JOSH(annual Sports fest) . The library is also very well stacked with all the latest jornals and newspaper, there is a cricket and football combined ground , 2 Table tennis table, 2 volleyball court, 2 basketball courts and many other.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel provides al amirah, bed, chair and a table. The food is as every government hostel you would expect- "edible". Other than this hostel is very affordable and provides very good internet you just have to bring your own LAN cable and you'll get a 800mbps connection at your room. Rental and PG are very rare and limited as most people prefer to stay in hostel.

Admission

I chose this college because of its low fees and the goverment college status, I gave JEE mains exams but was not able to secure a very good rank so I applied for this college through the UTU counselling process through their website, they select on the basis of JEE rank . CSE is the most preffered branch of choice, a rank under 1,00,000 can get you this seat.

Faculty

3

The faculty to student ratio varies from branch to branch, for some branches like mechanical it is higher but for departments like civil is somewhat less. The beahvior of faculty also varies from branch to branch as faculty of CSE department is very chill and gives students a lot of free hand to pursue goals and ease of study whereas the faculty of other branches like ECE and EE are very rude with students and not supporitng comparatively.,

Interview Experience

3

No there was no group discussion of interview that took place, the entrance test was nothing but JEE mains . The selection criteria is easy just score under 1 lakh rank in JEE mains and you will be able to secure seat of CSE in this college. Just prepare for the JEE mains and you will be good to go.

Night Life

1

There is no nightlife in this college except hostel as there is a fear of tigers around here so roaming around is not recomended and also all shops close around 9pm at night. But there are many hangout places like Mehra Restraunt, Kutiya and anand valley . IN-time for boys is 8pm IN-time for girls is 6pm

Oracle has been the biggest find of GEHU as before GEU, they hire students of our college. The reason is that we have given 20+ students to Oracle so far and they all have been doing well there. So almunus of our college has made our placements stronger by bringing the same companies to our campus for placements year after year.

In GEU, placements are good and this was the main reason I took admission here. Companies visits here from Hyderabad offices and even Pune offices who doesn't just gives us jobs but intenrships opportunities too. Around 20% of the students even get PPO as our college teaching and training is such that getting job here is a cakewalk.
