Likes
- Our college has a welfare society that works especially for the welfare of the students.
- A minimum of 70% is asked for admission in engineering in PCM subjects as otherwise there are no admissions.
- Since ours is an autonomous college affiliated to a state university, it has more value than any private university.
Dislikes
- Outsiders are from just a few states and therefore we don't have a diverse crowd as our neighbouring college like ICFAI has.
Course Curriculum Overview
AI & Machine learning as my initial plan was to go for CSE. However, CSE is more now of coding and building softwares but without AI and complex machine learning it is impossible to survive. Also, AI engineers are paid better than others these days and therefore I have taken this course and even though a difficult one but I still love it as I love grinding.
Internships Opportunities
IT companies and startups where AI integration is required are ones where our college themselves send us for three months intenrships. We too are free to find on our own and college gives us free attendance if we are on intenrships.
Placement Experience
Godrej, Infosys and likewise tech and non-technical companies which have decided to have some AI engineers in their ranks are coming to our college. Also since our college don't have such big strength like the private universities have and therefore placements final figures may be small but in all, our percentage of placements are better and higher than those of the private universities.
Fees and Financial Aid
Tula Institute Dehradun is best known for engineering and management both. I am pursuing the best cours that it offers and that is AI & ML engineering. Tula Institute is affordable as there are many private universities and colleges in Dehradun which charges double of our college but our college has sticked with charging 90k per semester.
Campus Life
As a student we survive for facilities like good classrooms, good library and good sports facilities. There are some students run societies but none of them that highly involved apart from our Tennasee society which is AI society. Campus is beautiful and not many events but we do have an annual event named Sanskriti.
Admission
Admission process for CSE and AI & ML is that you need to have a minimum of 70% in Physics, Maths and Chemistry. So, I had well over them and therefore I was granted admission to this beautiful institute which is Tula Institute.
Faculty
At TULA faculties are appointed just like students are taken. That is after proper verification and checking whether they are eligible and hood enough or not. After serving as a year here and getting positive response from students only then the faculties are made permanent here. Hence, this proves the quality our faculties have and also approved by students.
Night Life
Our college is in Selaqui which is almost 15-20 mins or an hour away from main Dehradun City. It is almost impossible to catch many transport facilities after 8 pm so there are some cafes in our area which are opened till 11-12 and that is all we have in the name of nightlife.
