GEHU is Greatest!

CSE is an amazing course and studying at GEHU makes it even more interesting. All the underlying principles of coding and building softwares are taught in our course. Also, combined workshop with GEU students and tech events where many other college students also participate takes our learning to another level.

Oracle has been the biggest find of GEHU as before GEU, they hire students of our college. The reason is that we have given 20+ students to Oracle so far and they all have been doing well there. So almunus of our college has made our placements stronger by bringing the same companies to our campus for placements year after year.

GEHU is an amazing college and is especially for students of Uttarakhand. GEU is expensive and has almost the same academics as well. Sadly though because it is expensive, I have also taken admissions in GEHU as otherwise I would have opted GEU only. While GEU charges 5 lakhs a year our is around 3 lakhs a year.

Our campus is small and management too have realised that. So area surrounding the college too is now under our university and law college is already off our campus. One more block is getting ready for engineering department and that too will be off campus. Currently Engineering classes are held on 1st floor and all our labs and all are also there. Our auditorium is also small but once we shift off campus, our building will also be having a 1000 seater modern auditorium.

I am from Uttarakhand but not from Dehradun and hence I have opted for hostels. There are three girls hostel but best and forever best is the Marina Girls hostel which is common for GEU and GEHU girls. So, I registered there and registration charges were around 25000 and an yearly fees of 2.2 lakhs as we got discount in hostels stay as well.

I applied at GEU too and during counseling they only told me to apply at GEHU as fees would be 40% lower and studies are similar. Job prospects though differs a bit but as per ROI and the kind of companies that visits both the campus are more or less the same.

GEHU faculties too are from state and therefore local language too is used for our better understanding and make us understand the subject matter in a better way. All our faculties are qualified well and have done a reasonable research work and corporate job as well. So, this makes them as competent as anything to be teaching in a high profile university like ours.

Nearby our college there are a various small cafes as Paratha is our staple diet and we have nearly 8-10 paratha houses. On the main Church Road we have plenty of cafe and a kilometre away from our college we have famous Buddha Temple as well.
