- Graphic Era University is India's best private university in Uttarakhand atleast as no university or college ranks higher than ours.
- Most kids study here are from rich academic backgrounds from schooling.
- Even the faculties of ours have very strong academic background.
Dislikes
- I didn't like the vibe around our college as people are seen smoking openly on the streets right close to the university.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our curriculum is totally corporate backed and hence I don't see major changes. The only change which I feel is instead of Saturday and Sunday off, I think Saturday should be kept fully for practicals because Monday to Friday in Graphic for CSE students is very hectic otherwise. We mostly end our day at 5-6 pm from the university.
Internships Opportunities
Hyderabad looks like have made our college their favourite destination. As not just established but even startup companies which have their base in Hyderabad come to our college to hire interns and some students have been offered stipend worth 50k as well.
Placement Experience
In GEU, placements are good and this was the main reason I took admission here. Companies visits here from Hyderabad offices and even Pune offices who doesn't just gives us jobs but intenrships opportunities too. Around 20% of the students even get PPO as our college teaching and training is such that getting job here is a cakewalk.
Fees and Financial Aid
GEU is one of the best in class engineering colleges as even though GEU offers wo many courses but engineering is it's flagship course. The fees for the same is 5 lakhs a year and since most students are outsiders so they also opt for hostels and that too costs between 2-3 lakhs. So, overall academic cost at GEU for pursuing CSE is around 30 lakhs or so.
Campus Life
GEU infrastructure is not structured as it kept on exapnding and therefore the university too kept toiling for the buildings. Facilities in classrooms and beyond that are exceptional here as it is no short of having good vibes all together. Our campus was also voted as one of the cleanest campus as well.
Admission
My ideas wa straight and clear and that was placements. I checked GEU's placements and they were like top class and plus admission only on 12th score. So, therefore I didn't wanted much fuss and i concentrated totally on 12th and got the desired result. As soon as the result was out i applied at GEU online and was confirmed admission in 48 hours.
Faculty
Strong academics and teachers by choice is what our faculties can be best describes as. They have done enough to make sure that we get best knowledge and attendance too from our faculties which otherwise students everywhere just long for but they never get the same.
Night Life
There are plenty of places in Clement Town as it is full of restaurant and street food corners. Out of all two of my favourites are Raasta Cafe and Hungry Hobbit. Hungry Hobbit is opened till 2 am and it is where my midnight food comes from.
