With the establishment in 1986, Bipin Chandra Tripathi Kumaon Engineering College mainly focused on imparting technical education to the students. Initially, it was recognized as Kumaon Engineering College, Dwarahat but after sometime it changed to its present name.

The campus is located near to very beautiful surrounding.
Offers courses in various Engineering fields like Computer science engineering, chemical engineering, Electrical Engineering and lot more.

Internet Facility: College provides 24*7 internet facilities via 25 Mbps (1:1) leased line.

Festival:

Aarohan- It is national level technical fest organized in the odd semester every year.

Scholarships:

Merit scholarships: Scholarship of Rs. 3000/- per year is given to 10% of admitted students. It is given on the basis of marks obtained by students in 1^st semester.
SC, ST and OBC Scholarships: Eligible students of SC/ST and OBC are given scholarships by Samaj Kalyan Vibhag, Uttarakhand.
National Scholarships: Scholarships are provided by central govt.

I have not applied for any other college other than this college. I choose this college because of location and fee which my family was able to pay. No The admission is based on JEE Score, and there was online councelling ased on that. 60-70 percentile is the cutoff

I like the strength of college students and the ratio of boys and girls

If something is faulty so it will always be faulty in government colleges.

I choose the college because it is best college of our state in past his placement and rating is very good due to students, faculties and the extra curriculum activities and the strictness in the college which maintain the discipline

in campus every branch has their own labs .and even every practical subject has its own lab.
campus is spread in wide area . from campus their is a great view to see

Admission:

i have applied to two colleges one in panthnagar and one in dwarahat but my rank was not to good so i got a good brach here .at other college my rank was not too good so i didn't get the required brach their . in btkit you can take addmision by clearing JEE MAINS . you can't take addmision by filling cuet . this college takes addmision of the students who have given JEE exam.

Likes

Good thing about the college is its location , situated in hilly regions so weather over there is great , friendly environment in or out the campus . .
Overall college campus is good , seniors and faculty members are friendly .
Alumni network is good , which frequently provide guidance to students and sometimes financial aid too.

Dislikes

No clubs , extra curricular activities are not managed well.
for girls even sports facilities are not that sufficient .
college washroom's condition is so bad , maintenance is not done properly .

After 12th , apper for JEE mains , councelling through UTU you will get this college , cutoff is not a issue there you will eaisly get cse with the 5 to 7 lkh rank , even you have appeared for jee you can still go through spot councelling , seats are generally vacant there.

The labs are good with good equipments and other things

Dislikes

Major issue here is the water problem, no regular suppmy of water
Here the internet services are very poor

Admission:

After 12th I'd simply given the JEE Mains exam because i wanted to do B.tech but I was not aiming for the IITs or NITsa I just simply needed a government owend college. So after the exam i filled the counseling for my state colleges and i got this college with my preferred branch. The admission process here is not very tricky just give JEE Mains exam and fill for the Uttarakhand state counseling and if you get this college just reach the college in suggested time and fill all the necessary details and attach documents which are needed.

Grounds are big enough to play multiple sports
The best thing of the college is about its location in hilly region

Dislikes

Most are good but reaching here can take some time
The most i dislike is 75% attendance criteria

Admission:

the admission procees was online in the site name UTU when the dates arrives you have to fill your details and then after some days they announce the results its majorly 5-6 rounds and cut off for my branch cse is generally 80 percentile

A lot of free time to prepare for anything we want.

Admission:

I took admission through State Counselling. I gave jee mains and got 82 percentile. You can still get admission in btech cse with 70+ percentile. Admission process was smooth. I went for spot round counselling which was held in dehradun and it went smooth. With no hassle, I was allotted the seat.

There are too many restrictions for girls

For admission, you have to appear for JEE mains . The councelling is done on the basis of jee mains score. You have to appear in utu councelling for admission .
