About Birla Institute of Applied Science
Birla Institute of Applied Sciences (BIAS), Nainital was established in 1969 as Birla Institute of Scientific Research (BISR) founded by Mr. B. M. Birla, in the developing Bhimtal industrial belt.
- It is affiliated to the Kumaun University, Nainital and Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
- The vision of the institute is to emerge as a vibrant and socially most relevant institution in the region contributing to the development of high quality human resource and setting standards of excellence in its areas of its functioning.
- The mission of the institute is to empower the youth for the highest level of technical, scientific and managerial roles in public and private sectors and entrepreneurship by imparting most modern, inclusive and relevant education and inculcating in them highest order of human values.
- It is located near Lake Bhimtal, 19 km fom Nainital district of Uttaranchal. Also, it is in the vicinity of Lake Sattal, and Naukuchiatal. The campus is spread over an area of about 10 hectares of prime land amongst the Kumaun hills, thus providing a cool climate and lush green environmental surroundings, ideally conducive for academic pursuit.

- Hostel lacks some amenities, like water cooler and electricity sometimes feel
- The placement situation in our college is not very good
Admission:
I tried getting a better college from jee but I had a friend who passed out from here with good placement so I thought I would be able to crack some good placement from this college but after coming to this college I realise that it is getting was every year and the placement situation is also getting was I am currently in my final year and waiting for my placement.

- The environment is great covered with greenery
- Clubs and society are there so we can have events
Dislikes
- Very less placement and untrained staff.
- Not a lot of outside time only 2 hours per day
Admission:
It was closed to my home and it was my last minute decision to go to this college as it was last at all the other colleges were full I would have got an admission in other college but I needed admission in computer science which was full in other colleges
Likes
- Teachers are well qualified and helpful and have a good teaching experience
- Provide good opportunities in sports events organized in UTTARAKHAND TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY
Dislikes
- The structure is very old school it needs to be improved
- Less social interaction because college is situated ina town so less opportunities than a city

Srm chennai branch in which I was getting admission in btech aerospace branch but I can't take admission because of its high fees and distance between my home and college is very much .so my parents can't afford it so I took admission in Birla Institute Of Applied Sciences bhimtal.
Likes
- Lush green campus with natural trees full of pleasant vibes. Every man is well equipped along with WiFi facilities. Some core Faculty is also very supportive requested to subject as well as other aspects
- There is senior junior interaction but it should be respectful. No ragging is there. Campus is very beautiful. Since student intake is not very high, a good interaction is there among students as well as student and faculty.
Dislikes
- Students have too early in timings and are restricted to ho or after that.
- No variation among students so variation of thoughts does not takes place. Everyone is from technical background but it could be taken as a positive point too

I applied in graphic Era hill University Dehradun bheemtal and Haldwani campus, but choose Birla institute of applied sciences over them because it is the semi Government College and the degree received after its completion how is its own face value. And also the fee structure as well as the campus here fascinated me. I got admission there too but opted this.
Admission:
This college is my second priority but because of my low rank in jee mains I have to choose this college.I got this college through counseling which is conducted by UTU and there were several colleges and we have to choose a college according to our priority.

- Here the environment is very nice . Campus is full of greenery
- Study is very nice. Professors are very dedicated
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is not that developed according to the area we have
- Here the clubs and society are very inactive they do not provide more exposure

I've applied for banasthali vidyapith rajasthan but its is very far from my home and it was quite expensive and it needed a higher score my second chouce was birla Institute of applied Sciences and it is a very nice change of scenery.

- Very nice environment and nice view as it is a place full of greenery.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is not that big as we can have more building according to the area.
- Extracurricular activities are not that much.

I applied for panthnagar college but it needed higher rank and my second choice was birla institute of applied science and i got selected here and it is a bit difficult through utu selection to get into colleges and your score should be good.

- The infrastructure of this college is very bad
- There are no activities held in our college

I've chosen this college because I'm from middle class family my family can afford this college. I had applied for uttranchal university but it is very expensive so I choose to came here. Our college take admission on the basis of jee mains or the 12 percentage

- The environment of this college is soo good there is greenery everywhere

- The infrastructure of this college is not good
- There are no activities held in our college

I choose this college because this is affordable for my family and there are a lot of college there whose fees are more and I've applied for graphic era but it is quite expensive for my family. I did not get rejection from any college. Other colleges infrastructure are quite good but infrastructure of our college is quite average

- Our infrastructure is very bad like there are no big audis and roads are in very worse condition
- The conditions of hostels are okay. On the rainy days our clother get moisture and gets fungus and the washroom are the worsts and the faculty live nearby our hostel so we can not enjoy our hostel life properly
Admission:
I've applied for graphic era and lpu but the fees structure of them is quite high and I cannot afford that so I've chooses this college,but the infrastructure of that colleges are quite good because they are expensive and they held lot of activities as compared to my college, also helped my mom in the house work so I didn't qualify for other colleges. My college select children from the basis of jee mains or 12th boards
