Likes

State government college comes under uttrakhand technical university has very good reputation in uttrakhand
Good and supportive professors and faculty members
Good labs equipped with maintained instruments to perform practical

Dislikes

Not so much exposure due to it's remote location
Not good infrastructure being a government college
Sometimes electricity and water scarcity will haunt you

Course Curriculum Overview

Not so much just average and I am sorry to say but it is not market relevant skills you have to be here your own . But it is far better than many private colleges . But being part of utu it is quite decent.

Placement Experience

Campus placement scenario is not good here but many of my Hard working seniors cracked off campus . Recently campus placement scenario is improving even for lower branches of btech and here ECE branch is quite good for placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

In my course btech ( this is for all branches of engineering included) per semester fees is about 51000 which is comparatively good and for whole course of btech 4 years it is about 4.5 lakhs approx which is far good in india for government college.

Campus Life

There is need to improve infrastructure here sometimes it becomes very sad to see our college in this condition despite State government engineering college. Event like Josh and goonj are sports and culture events respectively held once in a year

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good here even after paying such a low fee we get such a nice hostel rooms even caretaker and wardens ensure every needs and security of our hostels. Hostels in our college are best part of gbpec .

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

1. Not having good rank in jee this college provide hope for many aspirants who want to be engineer despite not clearing jee with good marks. 2. Also it provides home State advantages for student of uttrakhand

Faculty

Professors and faculty members are quite good and supportive. They will even help you if you want to do something on your own and mostly faculties in our college are highly qualified and some even done their higher studies in iits .

Night Life

Sorry to say night life is worst here if honestly anybody wants joy of nightlife please don't come here and this is one of the major drawback of this campus .if you are girl it becomes worst and feels like Jail here.

GEU girls hostel is best!

Placements of GEU are like literal fun because they are absolutely fine and every student atleast gets an opportunity to try his luck. So what more needed if that happens as placements is what we work hard for and our university rewards really well to us. Students here get placements in dream companies like Microsoft and Amazon.

GEU is an adventure!

Placement Experience:

Room for placements can't be better than GEU. As our department which isn't much in demand and still over 80% of placements rate itself is a story worth telling. I am so glad that it is happening and this is the reason I feel so good studying here as I can't do more as placements care are taken by the university very well.

GEU is super amazing!

Placement Experience:

It's in the final year as once the final year begins, students are asked to pull their socks up and go limitless as nearly 100 or rather much more are there at the campus and interest in CSE students is the highest. Also, there's a large section of IT students who are placed from GEU every year and that too without much of an effort.

Versatile college with good RoI

Placement Experience:

One of the best thing I saw here is placement. If a student is willing to do job then this college is appropriate place from him or her.. Students are placed in IT , SALES , FINANCE, EDTECH , TRANSPORT, DRUGS , etc Students are eligible for jobs and placed from the beginning of pre final semester and can apply in each and every company as per required skills. Not big tech Faang companies visit the campus but a decent level IT companies and limited visit the campus. And conduct their interviews and exams process. Although interview rounds are tough and offcourse nail biting competition among the students. The highest package this year till now 34 LPA by an American MNC . Average package is 550000. Approximately 90 percent students got placed in different domains and fields. My plans are so clear. I will take the job first in IT companies and get some experience on ground level and will grow further.

GEU is a world class place to study!

Placement Experience:

Pringle, The Sleep Co, Lenskart, Luscious, Tech Mahindra, Amazon, Google, Facebook and every tech company which potentially can come have come to our college for placements. On and average placements worth 6-40 LPA are common. Since some students miss out so on a whole the placements average stands a little below 10 LPA.

One don't have to go round and round as placements are done well within the time as most students here are placed by 7th semester. Those who left behind can try their luck on day zero as we have mass companies coming for a 3 day event and hire as many as they can.

Doon University - A descent college for btech course for residents of dehradun

Placement Experience:

The placements of this particular college are not good as much as i have heard about the placements of this university's before batches. They are still fighting and trying to get better placements for the senior batches which I wish they get it done, or i dont know what will happen in my time. The 7th or 8th semester is the one from which the students become eligible for campus placements. The name of the companies which offered were TCS, Infosys, HCL, Amazon, ICICI Bank etc. the average package of the college is about 4-5 LPA. Onlu 50-60% of the students or lesser are getting placements in the college. My plans are to do Mtech afterwards i complete my btech course in this college.

-i have no choice to choose other college because my jee rank was not so good and in private college there fee structure is very high so I have to choose this college over other colleges. -yes i am rejected by many college because my jee rank was too low to get there admission. - you have to clear jee mains exam to get admission in my college. GBPIET Ghurdauri Review

I applied for this college only as my parents allowed for this one only as it is closer to my home. The college lacks a bit in terms of infrastructure as compared to other colleges in the region. The placements are not good enough. To take admission into Btech 1st year in this college, one needs to give JEE Mains exam and UKSEE for lateral entry and 12th merit is accepted for admission in Biotechnology.
