Likes

Faculty is the most prized aspect offered by our college as it is having one of the most execelent teaching faculty memebers in whole of west bengal.
Placements are the part of the college everyone is excited about and the placements here are constantly increasing .
Social campus lyf is one of a experinece due to the vast campus and unique bonding of seniors and juniors.

Dislikes

Infrastructure should be improved a little as it has been a little outdated
Ammnities should be a bit latter models as the ones used are a lite backdated ones.
No other points are there that could be considered a drawback.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course and cirriculum are overall good cirriculum but certain new subjects should be added as well as certain new cirriculum startergies should be introduced as in tech field udating with new innovations are very crucial for upliftment of skill standards of college.

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarships available in our college are svmcm that can be available if u are having a yearly income under 2.5 lakhs and can be renewed if we have a cgpa above 7 and the other aids avaible are full freeship for students to not pay any tuition fees for their financial conditions.

The campus lyf over here offers a diversed variety of lyf experiences and unqie bond for senior and juniors that are seen over here due to the anyi ragging policies that has been opted by our college is one of a kind in its own.

Admission

I choosed this college over the others after opting for my wbjee Examination because of its social campus lyf placements and the facilty members presnet over here and also the rhe way of working environment provided as well as its the second best college after jadavpur university coming under wbjee affiliation.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio can be considerd 1 to 20 and all faculties are very easily accessible and are very helpful and can be reached out at any point of tym and are very good and very friendly.

Night Life

Yhe nightlyf can mainly bee seen around espektro our annual techno-management cum cultural fest of kalyani goverment engnieering college that is thr largest fest in west bengal and the 4 days are fiiled with excited days and mesmerizing nights that are the meemories for the next 70 years of lyf and overall the rest nightlyf has nothing major in it.

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
