Likes

Environment of the college is great. Since its a girl college people often have a misconception that it would be toxic but people are really helpful.
Campus is very beautiful of the college. Its like u really entered a girls college with all the aesthetics. People here keep the campus clean as well.
Library is spacious and is really big. Its well maintained and built.

Dislikes

There are no mirrors in the college. Its really a dearth as its a girl college.
The timetable is very strict. Its not like other DU colleges which doesnt care about classes.
Fests here are not much of worth as they have low budgets but lets hope for a good experience in future.

Course Curriculum Overview

So the course structure is aimed at creating a strong base right now. In first sem i have IIIPT, CNI and understanding pol theory. There are IAs and CAs which keep the teaching pattern interactive. So there's nothing much.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am currently a 1st sem student in political science hons. I paid 21930 INR. It included all the types of fees. However, there is nothing much in the fee structure but i think that it will remain same in the coming years

Campus Life

It is nice. There are so many societies. There is always something going on in the college which you can be part of. They celebrate every festival. The main event or fest of JMC is montage. Library is also good as its very well built.

Admission

JMC is a really good college over all. Faculty here is concerned for studies and trust me it is good thing in college coz i have frnds jinki teachers dont care abt their studies rather just their work. Campus is really nice compared to many north campus college. Best thing is security near by. Being a girl i never felt unsafe near or in JMC

Faculty

So.. Faculty is really nice in my course. The course structure is as follows: 3 DSEs 1 GE 1 AEC 1 SEC 1 VAC There are several for the above papers from which you can choose. The readings will also be available at the ohotocopy shop.

Night Life

There are facilities like gym, cafeteria, library and beautiful garden where I usually eat with squirrels. Nearby we have satya niketan for cafes, safdurjung tomb, chanakya mall for shopping if u r rich, sarojini if u r not.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the curriculum is decided by delhi university, economics wing and is followed by all the colleges of du, although few topic are often irrevelent which teachers tend to skip. i do feel that curriculum is pretty old and they should introduce new topic which are more related to reak=l world and give us real life experience not just bookish knowledge which is irelevent. they should also ask for students input related to their curriculum, teachers sometimes tedn to just do book reading. internal exmas are taken frequently and difficulty is 3 out of 5

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a good course. I went for it mainly because I am preparing for UPSC CSE (pretty common around here). In that context the course is helpful, and also for those aiming to enter research, academia, museology, archaeology etc. However there are not many placement opportunities and for most it would be better to pursue masters later on. Teaching methods are inclusive, both english and hindi medium students can comfortably study. However both students and faculties have some complaints regarding the curriculum changes under NEP such as the sequence of courses in each sem.

Great college with good faculty and student crowd

Placement Experience:

Placements is for 3rd year students. Many good companies visit our campus like bajaj capital, oberoi group. Highest package is around 22 lakhs. We have a lot of internship and placement opportunities come in for students.

Placement Experience:

There's a very active placement cell in my college. They conduct placement drives, webinars and workshops. Both the jobs and internships are offered. The best package was of 2024 offering 23 Lpa and the average is around 6 Lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course is rightly designed. Plus the teachers often suggest books that can be read from library regarding course topics. The library is very nice here. I used to study in the library for long hours. The exam notes and everything is available at the photocopy shop that's inside the college. Writing this review really made me miss the college more

Honest review of Pros and Cons of DCAC

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is done in the 3rd year. The highest PPO given is 24,00,000 to auditing and taxation departments. Average package is about ?15,00,000 to ?18,00,000. Companies like Eay, KPMG and more visit our college for placement. Most students under the commerce department get offered internships. Other than this, the placement cell also actively keeps sending internship opportunities for students to enhance their profiles. I am an English honours student l, thus there is no placement option for me directly unless I take up options from the P-Cell. I have already interned at EY India, Gurgaon, as a forensics and risk management specialist( throigh personal referral).My knowledge (attained from DCAC) of research, report and article writing were used adequately.

Generally, after BA no one is placed and even if we apply for a job we don't get a good package. So, students generally go for masters or some other courses through which they can get placements. Talking of college placement and internship cell we don't have very good facilities as very limited companies are there for recruiting students. Many students don't even get the internship. This is a major negative point of college.

It is one of the best college of Delhi university among 10 colleges of the university for my course that is Geography honours. All the faculty members are of good nature and experienced in their subjects

If I discuss about my dream college my dream college was lady Shri Ram but I didn't make it as my schools were very low according to the course I wanted. Then I got shortlisted for Jesus and Mary College admission process was very smooth and easy it was one day process within an hour I was free and from the next day onwards my classes started when I first visited to Jesus and Mary college it was very pretty campus. the eligibility of Jesus and Mary is you have to get our 85% in your c u e t and you have to score well in your 12th board exam.
