Likes

This is a ragging free campus ..the environment over there is very nice.
The teachers are gentle and friendly among the students
The faculty is very motivating and supportive

Dislikes

The classroom needs to be more clean and well maintained
Washroom needs to be clean and the door needs to be closed properly
There is ac in the classroom but it's not working and those projectors need to be maintained for presentation

Course Curriculum Overview

The department of anthropology has the best teachers .... overall it's a good campus . The frequency and the timing of exam has 4-5 months gap in between the take enough classes to complete the whole syllabus

Class Size: 800Course Fees: INR 3500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The courses are affordable just like other colleges. In MSc we have four semesters and in 20000 your course will be completed in two years only . Three are scholarship and financial aid those are available for the students in need.

Campus Life

The library really need more anthropology book's ... The library is huge and well maintained but for anthropology it has some few books.. which is not efficient for making notes. There are sports and extracurricular activities offered in the campus

Admission

For the admission of Masters you must be graduated with good scores so that your merit rank will be higher and you get a chance to take addmission easily The student section of the college is very nice and they help us for everything we want to know .

Faculty

Most of the faculty members are highly experienced and well educated they really help us to complete the whole syllabus throughout theories and practicals. Their approach to teaching and mentorship is very helpful .

Placement Experience:

Actually this is a general degree University , so I must mention that placement facalities are not so good. But yes , Job Fair is organised in University by some external agencies which offer jobs varying 2-2.5 lakhs per annum . But in the university most of the students do not accept that jobs. Half of the students are more interested on the higher studies. So ahet completing the fourth semester they prepare for PhD. And the another half are preparing for central government sponsored exams like CGL, CHSL, RRB, SBI , IBPS, LIC etc. University has a significant number of students who have qualified for Government Competitive exams.

Placement Experience:

Actually Some of the Local Companies & Private banks Offer placements which are averagely worth 250000/-. Some of the Students appear for it , but the Number is Very less. Actually In Present Circumstances , Most students wants a stable Government, Especially Central Gov job . So they Prepare for exams like SSC , SBI , IBPS, LIC , RRB etc.

Placement Experience:

2nd year students are eligible for the campus placement. Sai, Hetero, mendine, dr. Reddys etc companies visities for the campus placement. Offers ranges from 5-12 lpa. 60% students gets placed, 10% goes for higher studies and others get job off campus in my department. Other departments has 100% placement. My plans are pHd from Niper as it provides vast knowledge and instrumental exposure.

My decision to choose this course depended on the fact that this course provides you with the opportunity to get various jobs in the industries with a high lpa. But this college does not help much in that aspect. All I had to do was myself. It is my humble opinion that the institution should improve its guidance in the area of its teaching methods. The exams were twice a year and were quite difficult on their own.

College is really close to railway station (2.2 km from Bidhannagar Junction), Low cost of fees, Good academics, Spacious, Green, Quiet environment ideal for studying. Only bad thing(according to my opinion) is the teachers are really strict. We can't bunk classes. We enter the college 10. 15 AM and leave at 4. 15PM. Sometimes this can be frustrating....Read More
