Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college has variety of courses and I chooses chem being my favourite subject. The curriculum structure is already so well designed that it needs no advancement or improvement(It helps in future studies to) What I just feel is to remove the attendance criteria which may get easier for students. The frequency of exam is well enough giving ample time to students to get prepared for semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

Admission fees:Rs.2155 The total course fees for 4 years is:Rs.8790(Lab based subject) Fees semester wise: Ist semester:Rs.2655 2nd Semester:Rs.660 3rd semester:Rs.1165 4th semester:Rs.660 5th semester:Rs.1165 6th semester:Rs.660 7th semester:Rs.1165 8th semester:Rs.660 There is no direct scholarship provided by college.

Campus Life

5

College fest are must for college life. One will experience many such through thier college life. But there are no fixed festivals excluding Freshers and Farewell. The college is equipped with a large library.Great place for book worms like me:) The general classrooms does not have any technical advancement. But there are certain classroom equipped with smart boards,AÇ,computersetc Every kinds of sports like Football, cricket are encouraged by the college. Groups in college include students union ;the juniors and seniors being the member.

Admission

I had got offered from nearly all Bsc college I applied(Gurudas College,DUM DUM Motijheel,Asutosh College,City college etc) but this college instead due to great NIRF ranking and been placed in top 10 college is the zone. And even the corse fees is negligible for a degree course and also has a well communicative location. *I didn't got rejection from any applied colleges but didn't choosed them based on academic, fees structure and opportunities reason. *The admission to this college is based on Class 10 th and 12 th compiled boards result(Merit-based admission)

Faculty

5

*For Bsc.Chem Hons there are two teachers per sub branch of Chemistry such that For physical, organic and inorganic chemistry. In Chem department there are 8 faculty. *The HOD of our dept has always been the pillar for support(Sanat Kr.Sir) and Dr.Arup sir. They made the subject more lovable to us. *Each and every teachers are friendly so personally I have no dislikings for anyone. *There are 8 semester and the IST semester has always been easy. The level being the same as class 12 boards and the difficulty level gradually increases upon sem.

Computers are so vast that masters is mandatory and therefore I have certain plans for that. However big scale IT companies come here and students of Computer science Hons have had placements worth 6-10 lakhs easily. My plans are to appear for the job interviews but not taking any as I want to study more.

My collage provides internships, and the average package is also good. From the sixth semester one can become eligible for internships. My plan is to study further, Msc and PhD.
