Remarks

I am proud of my college. The faculty, the management, the quality of students were something.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

It was under Calcutta University and now it is not. There is no placement cell as such. The faculty is really good. After we had passed out the college got affiliated with WBUT. I got many good friends and followed in a good career like my friends. The course is as per CU standards and very rich and knowledge oriented.

Placement Experience

3

The was no placement cell as such during my times. However, after I passed out a placement cell has been formed, thereby helping the students in the right manner.

College Events

4.5

Dhun, the annual fest organized in every December. Many Bengaki popular friends used to perform in our college fest. The food stalls that were available were really awesome and outstanding. The fest was also popular amongst other colleges and people from different colleges used to come and perform with us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible, government college. The fees were as per govt standards. There are no additional fees that have to be paid in order to secure admission. I used to pay 75 rupees per month only for my course. The course for the science subjects was a bit more than kine but feasible too.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not have to avail any educational loan. The college did not used to offer any scholarship when I was a student.

Campus Life

4

The Campus is huge.Thec teacher student ratio was also meaningful and something to talk about. The science laborstories were noteworthy. The Cultural club was really superb. The cultural diversity is enormous and people were accepted irrespective of caste, creed, gender, etc.

Hostel Facilities

5

There was no hostel accommodation as such. All students were day scholars. The college did not have provision for hostel. The PGs nearby my college wre cheap too, it was around 3000 per month including three times food.

Alumni/Alumna

Our seniors were very helpful and protective. During our exams they used to help us like anything and till date I'm still in touch with them.

Admission

Liked English from childhood days. One of the best colleges it was under C.U. Got admission in the 1st merit list in July 2006.Did not have to choose or collect forms apart from this college. Its near my home too. So did not think of leaving this opportunity of reading in this college.

Faculty

5

The faculty is really worth mentioning. All the teachers were government professionals and gazzeted officers as per govt rules. The teachers used to explain the matter or each paper in a detailed manner and the lectures provided are something are etched in my minds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There are several prospects, especially peer-to-peer counseling, where you get a mentor. We call it mentor mentee program. So, there will be groups of students, and each group will have a mentor who helps you whenever you face any issues whether in real life or in your academic journey. They’re always there for you. There are also remedial classes, and extracurricular activities are included in the curriculum. You even get the freedom to choose what you want to pursue creatively, like joining poetry clubs and similar groups. Right now, I’m at Banaras University, and the curriculum here is really good. We have sessions on public speaking, how to conduct interviews, and many other practical skills. These are highly commendable because they help you in professional situations like the one I’m in now. However, I would say that teachers could be a bit more active with electronic tools like using PPT presentations or audio-visual methods instead long lecture sessions. As for exams, I wouldn’t say they’re too difficult because there are many weekly assessments and sessionals, which actually help you evaluate yourself better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I used to read so many novels from my childhood and that inspired me in getting attracted to this field. We used to have the fecility of having seminar in the end of every month after compleating of each lessons. And this process helped us in true education. After every year professors from differnt parts of the country used to come for a seminer for overall groth of the students. Actually is theory teaching style is followed in the college, according to me some developments in the practical teaching can be used. Semister is held at the end of every six months and the exams are used to be moderate in nature.
