Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum offers a well structured knowledge on how the society works and what goes behind the smooth functioning of the same. The very aspect of the basic programming of the society is what influenced my decision to choose this course. After 3 years of deeply rooted learning of the society around you it molds you into more than just a citizen but also as a radicalist who will constantly look for opportunities to make the society better. The course could however provide more opportunities of fieldwork and practice-based learning throughout the course to ensure more efficient knowledge instilled. The exams are not as difficult as one would anticipate. Since most concepts you are expected to cover are theories, if you are good at reading and remembering information you are good to go.
Internships Opportunities
There are very few internship opportunities provided at JMC but there is however a placement cell that is very well equipped and efficient enough to ensure opportunities for all final year students and aspiring graduates who seek to achieve their dream jobs. The placement cell acts as a platform that shapes the students to be prepared for their new exposure into the corporate environment around them after graduating.
Fees and Financial Aid
Overall for my entire course I had to pay a fee of 55,480. This figure compared to many other well known colleges and universities is much much easygoing. The annual fee increased from 19k to 21k from the first year to third. In my opinion this hike in fee rate isn't as bizzare and can be paid off. The college also provides concession facilities for economically backward students and scholarship opportunities as well.
Campus Life
The campus life at JMC something worth talking about. The frequent department fests, the society fests, the annual fest MONTAGE all takes place with so much precision and enthusiasm. The effort and dedication too each student into making each occasion a success is impressive. Students from other colleges constantly visit the college when they hear of a fest happening at JMC. The relationship between the students and their team working spirit adds to the delectable atmosphere here at JMC.
Admission
The course required a minimum of 50% aggregate in the 12th board examinations as well as required credentials to advocate and adhere to the standards of the college system. Since the admission process for me was online it required me to scan all of my required self-attested documents and upload it on the Delhi University website. Once they verify the documents they shortlist colleges for you based on your course preferences. Accordingly you can go ahead and choose your college and move on with following procedures. The admission process for me personally had been easy going and stress-free.
Faculty
I would say that the faculty in JMC is one of the best parts about the college. Not only are the professors well-equipped and qualified enough to provide apt and accurate education to all students but also are they extremely efficient in maintaining a one-on-one basis relationship with each student, not making a single one feel inferior to the rest. They make sure that they are always available, whether in person at the campus or on call/text whenever the student needs them.
