Course Curriculum Overview

Courses are similar to most government engineering colleges in India but facilities and faculties are the best here in IITs. Most faculties are highly experienced and research oriented in their field.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is available for students after their 6th semester for Btech students and 8th semester for Dual Degree students. For internship you can apply through erp portal where you have to make your CV. Top companies visit for internship at campus.

Placement Experience

Students become elligble for placements after their 7th semester for Btech and 9th semester for Dual Degree. A lot Tech, finance and consultancy companies reach campus for the placements. Highest package for this year at IIT KGP is 1 Cr per annum and average is between 15-20 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Few structure vary year to year but one can check it at official website. There are different types of scholarship depending on your courses. For different range of family income they have corresponding tution fees and also there are financial aids.

Campus Life

Campus of old IITs are the best with lots of memories and culture. There are a lot of clubs and socities depending on the interest of students. One can join multiple societies. Fest of old IITs are memorable and remarkable over the Institute. In terms of academic there are alot of infrastructure, thousands of books and journals at library. Also sports are taken in account along with academics.

Hostel Facilities

Rooms in hostels are basics but sufficient for a student needs. Also it depends on colleges and the hall you alloted. Mostly hostels provide a bed, study table, chair. Some hostles have attached washroom while some have common washroom. Meal quality is deccent vary hostel to hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year

Admission

Admission process consists of two stages. Stage 1 is JEE Mains, a candidate has to clear teh cutoff for JEE Mains and then will be qualified for JEE Advance. For JEE advance you have clear cutoff of each subject Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry, then you have to clear minimum marks cutoff then you will get college and branch according to your rank. For both JEE Mains and Advance a candidate must have PCM with Englisand minimum 75 percentage in their respective board exams. A candidate can give atmost 3 attempts in JEE Mains one in 12th and other two in consecutive years. But for JEE Advance there are only 2 attempts one in 12th and one after consecutive year.

Okay college and decent placement

Placement Experience:

The campus placement is same as all low 3 tier colleges which is nearly 4-5 lpa average salary given by mass recuitor companies .The companies are infosys , ltimindtree , accenture , ibm , capgemini , cognigent , etc .The placement rate is nearly 60 to 70 percent.

Heritage Institute of Technology: A Detailed Observation

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from third year that is after 5th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant and IBM are amongst the mass hirers. Almosy 80 percent of the students get placed every year and the top 10 percent of the students receive high paying job offers. The average package is around 4.86 LPA and in 2023, the highest package was 16 LPA and in 2022, the highest package was 44 LPA. Talking about my future plans, I wish to pursue my masters abroad after completing my undergraduate course here.

Placement Experience:

Despite the low fee structure, my college provides a good placements. Almost every student of CSE Dept who sit for placement, gets the placement between 4lpa - 6lpa. Last year the highest package was ?12 lpa. ECE department has the lowest percentage of placements. And other engineering departments have between 60-70% placement. All the mentioned above is the description of in campus placement. Not many students of my college opt for out campus. But if they do, they get good placements as per the reports. In 2021 a student secured the job in Microsoft, with the placement of ?45 lpa (out campus).
