Course Curriculum Overview

I did choose this college for getting a good placement and being settled in life. Here enough teachers are available. All of them are PHD holders. The exam in this college is conducted as per semester basis.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 1300 per year

Internships Opportunities

In this college students are become eligible for internship till 3rd year itself. The companies from which students gets internships most are AMAZON, MICROSOFT, SHARECHAT etc. The stipend offered by these companies are around 40 thousands per month.

Placement Experience

Students of this college are become eligible for placement from seventh semester itself. The companies that visits our campus most are TCS, CAPGEMINI, INFOSYS etc. The average package offered by these companies are around 4LPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being an Government Engineering College fees hike policy is not applicable here. Although the fees reduced to some extent if you apply for Students Freeship Scheme. During study you can apply several scholarships like OASIS, AIKASHREE, SVMCM etc.

Campus Life

Our college conducts one annual fest every year in the month of March. This fest is called ESPECTRO. It has two parts one is Cultural part another one is Technical part. The cultural part is called EXOTICA and Technical part is called TACTIX.

Admission

For being eligible for this course you have to complete your 12th or Diploma. After that you have give WBJEE or JELET exam. That's all for admission. The exam form is available in the WBJEE official website. This college also provides reservation quotas like ST, SC, OBC etc.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
