Likes

campus life is awesome with almost all clubs.Faculties are too experienced and they know their subject matter a lot .
The exams are too easy to pass and the labs are also easy and you will score good if you have good attendance
The college has good competition level and the placement opprtunities are decent with average packages.

Dislikes

The exposure is not too good and is mostly limited .
The senior hostel does not have good envireonment.
Some professor are just enemies of students and they will go to any extent to insult students.

The reason for choosing mechanical engineering was that it was considered as an evergreen branch .The faculty : student is roughly 1:6.All the profeesors are highly qualified and know their subject matter a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is very low but still financial assistance is given to those students who cannot afford it.The intership opportunities is very low on campus and you need to apply off campus to get good opportunities.

Campus Life

The social life is very good and there are a lot of clubs to engage in .Library has almost all the books you will need throughout the college life.Sports and extra curricular activities is very good and everything is mananged by students only at our time.

Admission

The admission was purely on the basis of WBJEE rank and the cutoff depends on your category and your year of taking exam.The sylllabus of the exam is a subset of jee main with 50% weightage given to math.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally i opted for electrical and electronics instead of the branch of my choice is because my scores were not enough to secure a seat in CSE. But EEE is pretty cool as well for those willing to grow in this branch. Our curriculum exposes us to the rapidly growing sectors in the industry and educates us of all we need to know about the course in depth. If you want to continue ahead in a research field, this Institute is the most supportive. The exam questions are also relevant enough and considering we only need to actually stress over end semesters, its fair enough per semester. It would be better if our professors removed the attendance criteria rest im fine with everything else

To get admitted to this college, you will have to take the West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam. To get admission in this college you have to score well in this exam. KGEC REVIEW

I gave West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination in 2024. I scored a decent rank but due to high cut off of this year I didn't get good branch in Jadavpur University.
