The sports facilities amazing we have three rounds for
The gym and the outer activities were amazing we have NSS in our college would lead to and they lead to social affair
There are various types of class in our college which enhance the skills of the students

Dislikes

College is in a remote area it's like 40 km away from Siliguri
The weather is too Harsh in the winter. And in winter there is very much for in our area
The exams are quite hard so students have to study really hard so that they can pass

Course Curriculum Overview

It is the best field in my mind to get a job from after b.tech that's why I have choose it the faculty student ratio is about 5:1 in our department most of the faculty have mtech or PHD there were two internal exam and other labs exam and one semester exam in 6 month period

Internships Opportunities

All college have great interest opportunities we got intensive from Microsoft Google cognizant TCS Uber KPMG etc and our teachers also help us to get in this college particularly there is a teacher in Cse department who help everyone.

The students can be eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and then on they can able to apply on companies the in the last year we have 98% placement and the average package was 8 lakhs per year and the highest package was 63.5 lakhs per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study is little high it's like 30000 per year for but we can get scholarship every student who have more than 60% marks can get scholarship from SBM CM like 60000 per year and there is very other intensive opportunities also available college

Campus Life

There are two men faced in our college one is take fest shristi and the other we have full placed library in our college and also every department has their department we have 3 full HD ground for cricket and football beside that we have one gym one basketball court and one volleyball court

Admission

If you want to be eligible for this course you have to complete 3 years diploma in engineering from any branch from and recognised college of AICTE then you have to apply for jeelet exam you can get the application link from WBJEE website we have reservation benefits in our college

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cirricullum is quite relevent and comprehensive . BTECH program especially CSE includes specializations like data sciene , cybersecurity, IOT, etc . Exams are held twice in a semester . the college could include hand on learning through workshop , industry project and interships .

our college average package is 600000 per Anum and highest package is 1800000 per Anum according to recent data. and 80% of student got placed . And wipro , windows, tcs , siemens , tata like companies come to our college for placement. Core students are also got placed but many of them goes for hihger studies.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd year onwards , students become eligible for internships and stepping in 4th yr , students get eligible for campus placement. Techno provides decent campus placements according to your marks. Good marks also with skills get you better salary. Minimum 7.5 cgpa is mandatory to have you sit for campus placements. The lowest package is 3.4 LPA and highest vary but students also get 14LPA easily. Wipro, tcs ,cap ,gemini, amazon , ibm etc.

Placement Experience:

After 6th semester student become eligible for the campus placements. Amul(GCMF) , Mother Dairy, Vidya Dairy, Bhagirathi cooperative, Wamul, ITC are the company's visited and they provide good packages according to the students work in interview. After getting the degree I would pursue my hair studies in Mtech Food Technology from IIT or go to MBA course from IIM. My main goal is to get NDRI National Dairy Research Institute which is top institute for imparting dairy and veterinary courses for MTech Dairy Technology. 70 to 80% of the students are being placed and the packages very from 20 lakh per anum to 40 lakh per annum. After getting BTech degree most of the students preferred to go for higher studies and job. Research line is open for our course. Most girls prefer higher studies and research line and most boys prefer for job.

Unbiased Review of JGEC

I applied to a few other government engineering colleges but i ended up choosing JGEC.The main reasons: JGEC is a well established,fully government owned autonomous college,with good accreditation.It also has a long history since 1961,which made me trust its academic environment.Compared to other colleges i applied to ,JGEC felt more stable and credible.It also has a reasonable structure and good campus infrastructure,labs and oppurtunities for intership .There is also a good scope for higher studies like GATE.The marks vs rank went extremely high in WBJEE 2025.That's why i didn't get a college i applied for which is near my home. You can take admission by giving WBJEE and JELET only.As it is a government college you can only take admission if you get a good rank .There is also different cut-offs for diff catagory.The overall admission process is was very smooth and systematic....Read More

According to my West Bengal joint entrance examination rank I said for the counselling in the first round I got Kalyani Government Engineering College with IT department but that was with the reservation under EWS quota with rank 2869. As I was not able to get me EWS certificate my admission there was cancelled and then according to my preference I got Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College with electronic and communication engineering department.
