Remarks
It will be another achievement for JMC if it can include science department also. practical knowledge through various trips ,projects ,research organised.This institute is not only about gaining knowledge but also promotes and encourages sports and other extra curricular activities.It has 6 compulsory societies to ensure this.
Entrance Preview
No entrance was there , directly based on 12 class results and also on Christian minority basis.My sister was perusing -Sociology from the same college ,she suggested me the course and the college.
Course Curriculum Overview
-Sociology is an umbrella course focusing on all the sub subjects like politics ,economics etc outside its core subjects and how the combinations of all these desciplines help in the better understanding and working of society.Inshort,it studies the society,its various components ,the relationship between society and human beings , social structures , analysis of these studies to ensure social order and functioning of the society.
Internships Opportunities
Commerce students have an internships in 6 semester of their course.In -sociology ,we have a research project in the 6 sem.
Placement Experience
I didn't apply for placement cell as I was planning to study further.But JMC offers very placements mainly for commerce and B.Led students
College Events
There are various department feasts , a college feasts which generally on a grand scale.Other than this each year founder days is celebrated.This year being the jubilee year,there are various events being planned.
Fee Structure And Facilities
A fee of ₹11,000 was paid in the starting of each academic year.This included the tuition fee,stationary,infrastructure , internet etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarships and other awards are given to encourage the students in various fields.I didn't avails for any scholarship.Yes, college assists in getting loans .
Campus Life
JMC is known for being a top sports college for women under DU. It has various titles under various sports .Many of the National and International players are assessts of this college.
Hostel Facilities
Our College doesn't have a hostel facility yet.
Alumni/Alumna
It has got a good alumni network .Our college also has a separate facebook page for this .
Exam Structure
We has semester based exam pattern.In the end of each semester , we had internals in which we had a test,assignment ,presentations and a theory paper and 5 marks for attendance. The dates for internals were never hectic as it was decided after a meeting with the class by respective teachers ensuring that enough time was given for studies without disturbing the regular class or studies.
Faculty
Most of our facilities are scholars holding Ph.D from JNU. Teaching method employed is interactive session along with giving notes .Proper textbooks are given ,which is the photocopy of original copies of text of various authors.Beside this question banks ,teachers notes .The standard of teaching is up to bar.
