No, there is no bad remarks about my college. Lots of good remarks are there about my college. Friends help each others to study very much.

I appeared in WBJEE 2016 and I scored a rank of 121 i opted out for KGEC because of its known faculty and being renowned for its environment for peaceful study life i have been admitted to the Department of Electronics and Communication admission process was a straightforward one.

Yes definitely the course curriculum is very good.. There is a scope of research too. There are separate department for Research scholars. Course curriculum is strictly under MAKAUT(MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY). The syllabus is excellent and lucid. With a intention to inculcate the extra curricular skills in the pupils.

The college provides internship opportunities to students. Actually, I don't know much about the stipend being a first-year student but this year the Entrepreneurship Cell of our college has decided to provide short internships to first-year students just for gaining experience and knowledge about outside exposure.

Kalyani Government Engineering College (KGEC) has excellent placement record and shapes its students meticulously for the top leading firms. The recruitment process starts after 6th semester for B.Tech,, 4th semester for MCA and 2nd semester for M.Tech. Students. It is generally spread over approximately one year for every batch, starting from July and ending at June. College has received 'A' grade from M/s Tata consultancy Services (T.C.S.) as per its own accreditation system. The placement cell of the college imparts excellent infrastructure facilities for the final interviews process. Lowest salary offered 200000 LPA Highest salary offered 550000 LPA top Visiting Companies IBM, Wipro, Infosys Limited, Mahindra & Mahindra, Siemens, CESC Ltd., Tata Elaxsi, Dynamic DigitalTechnologies, Fosters Wheels, HPL.

The college has its cultural fest ESPEKTRO which is a great ocassion for everyone. The arrangement is basically done by hostelites and there is a great enthusiasm among candidates regarding this.This event is a grand ocassion along with the Union freshers where the entire college is invited and all show up also. The technical fest is also good. Quizzes, coding rounds , computer games like CS, FIFA etc. Are a few to say about. The robowin is a contest where autonomous robots and also manual ones compete in different rounds respectively. Festivals like Vishwakarma puja, saraswati puja are a few other joyful ocassions. We all enjoy these events.

The college fee is too cheap. Some students may find it cheaper than their school fees.For mechanical and electrical departmemts. Fee is 3000/semester For Electonics & Telecommunication and Computer Science departmemts. Fee is 6000/semester For Information technology department, Fee is 12000/semester. For all departments, examination fee is 1000/ semester At the time of admission, around 4000 is to be paid along with 1st semester fees.Thus, you can see its way too cheap.

Till now I have not come to know about the scholarships clearly. But yes depending on the cgpa grades in the first year scholarships are provided for meritorious students for further studies. I haven't yet availed any scholarship. But for the students under the TFW SCHEME. TUITION FEE WAIVER. The whole tuition fees is slashed for them. For financially weak students this facility has been a major strike here.

Gender ratio is average where as it's a diverse college diverse in its assembly of students from various society diverse in its culture environment and academics there is no politics in this college.. It's a plus point here. It's a anti ragging campus students practicing illegal affairs are strictly expelled seminars, debates, quiz, workshops and exhibitions are included in the activities of KGECSU (student union). The Union has a Science Club, a Game Club, an Astronomy Club, a Robotics Club and a Music Club.

There are 5 hostels in total including one separate hostel for girls and one separate hostel for first-year students. Rooms are on double sharing basis. There are ample of rooms for all students. Canteen in hostels need improvement but there are a common room with indoor games, badminton or volleyball court. There are no ragging and seniors are quite helpful.

The college seniors have proved to be the most helpful part of our life there be it in the case of studies books health or any other activities they will be the first one to help. They are much much friendly as we expected.. Alumni interaction was great. Our alumni from North Carolina state university visited us it was a great honour to have met him.

We have two internals for each subject and then we have our lab. Exams followed by our semester exams.The schedule is such that we don't have that pressure and we being engineering students and college also being government college, bunking is usual.

I have Qualified Joint Entrance Examination conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board / JEE MAIN conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education and recommended by the WBJEE Board.I have passed 12th or equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.

The faculties are well experienced in teaching and decently knowledgeable. Some of them are from IIT background and most of them are doctorates. Sometimes I felt a need for different approaches for students who are willing to go forward in research and not looking for placements.The faculty was excellent for our course and they taught us the course content very easily.They provide us the project for the practical experience.The class materials were very helping for preparation of the examination.
