About GGS

The eligibility of this course is that you should have maths. You can find the application form on the official DU Site and the dates also you should see the notices issued by the University and also you can follow them on Twitter. I availed of the Sikh minority benefits as I belong to a Sikh family so it's my right. All the Sikh students should make their Sikh minority certificate online or from the Rakabganj Gurdwara so that it will help them in the future to take admitted to good Sikh colleges at Delhi University. There should be less reservation for SC/ST/OBC as it impacts the General Category, they have to work hard and struggle a lot. According to me, there should be a reservation but in limit.

I chose this course because I want to do something in the finance field so it's a good course for that. The faculty-student ratio is around 27. It means that there is one teacher for 27 students. Qualification of our faculty is MBA and some teachers also did Ph.D. from reputed Universities. Their teaching method is also very good. There is a lot of knowledge and insights. It is a nice to experience studying here. Initially, there is a semester of 6 months but after covid, it's a sem of only 4 months and it is quite tough to study in 2 months only.

Over the years, the college has witnessed an impressive hike in the quality and quantity of internships being offered to the students. Many reputed companies such as EY, Ken Research, Outlook Group, and Paytm provided us with internship opportunities. I don't know about the projects and outcomes as I am just a first-year student.

The students are eligible for placement at the start of the third year. As per the records, during the academic year 2018-19, Placement Cell recorded a whopping number of 215 offers for placements spread across various sectors and the highest package going up to 10 LPA by Toppr Learning. The cell also recorded an impressive number of more than 300+ offers for internships in diverse fields of commerce. I plan to do CFA or MBA after the degree.

A lot of books and journals are available in the library. Even our department magazine is also updated once a year. Several sports are there on the campus like cricket, basketball, lawn tennis, table tennis, volleyball, football, chess, etc. for men and women both. There are a lot of social groups like Enactus, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Manchtantra, Misba, GGS Bhangra team, Finance, and Investment cell, ASBEMS, Ecosperity, Sachkhand Foundation is a club for helping needy people, the student union is a club run by our students of GGS.
