College criteria for all student

To take admission in Kalyani Government Engineering College, you have to have a valid rank in the WBJEE exam and have to take part in councelling. If you get KGEC in the counseling you can get admission by sending the fees to the college. The application starts after the councelling level 1 is completed. You will get some benefits if you own a category.

I chose Electronics and Communication Engineering because I am crazy about Electronic devices and computers. The faculties are very friendly and nice. You can share your doubts and problems and they will help you out. The faculties are highly qualified and they teach in every way so that you can understand the lectures. The exams are average type, not very difficult.

In KGEC there is a TPC cell will bring companies for internships. The companies in which you can do internships are Amazon, TCS. The stipend is between 7-8 thousand per month. The College club DSC creates various project on web, android, Iot,ML to make opportunities wide.

The students of 7 th and 8 th semesters are eligible for campus placements. As it is a tier 3 college, The main visiting companies are- TCS Ninja, Wipro, Cognizant etc. The highest package is 8 LPA and the lowest is 2.9LPA. The average package is 4.5LPA.

Kalyani Government Engineering College is a government college so the fees are quite low compared to the other colleges. You can apply for SVMCM, SIEMENS, OASIS, etc. scholarships but the college authority allows only one scholarship per student.

The name of the annual fest of the KGEC is "Espectro". It is very popular that students from different colleges come to visit this fest. Apart from that, the college celebrates other occasions as well. The college provides Library facility where you can borrow curriculum books as well as storybooks, novels, etc. The college has different sports clubs and a GYM you can join them.

All the hostels except one are located inside the college premises. Every hostel room has a free WIFI facility and 24 hours water of RO. The meal provided in a hostel is quite good. The students can decide what they will have in the meal. The registration process is as simple as college admission. In the locality, there are PG facilities available as well.
