Remarks

Man is social being. So, social behavior is expected from them. Sociology teaches them how to behave in the society. HS degree from any recognized board fulfils the criteria of eligibility. The selection process is merit based. Cut off marks help students to get scholarship.

Course Curriculum Overview

Some specialised fields in the name of applied sociology, comparative sociology, cultural sociology, collective behavior, crime and delinquency, community and demography etc are taught in the curriculum. Faculty follow the concept and try to develop the features of the course.

Placement Experience

In the placement of 2020, the highest CTC rose upto Rs 15 LPA and average was Rs 5.3 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are Deloitte, ABP News, Zomato, KPMG etc. During 2020 placement, more than 1000 companies participated in the placement drive and 150 job offers were made.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Students for economically weaker background can fill up the scholarship form and submit it to their respective. Scholarships only provide some book grant. Students who take entry by entrance exam can not get any scholarship.

Campus Life

Academic building is decorated with modern infrastructures like - auditorium, cafeteria, common room etc. Different national events increase the festive mood of the institute. Students get enough space to play the outdoor games.

The placement opportunities in my college are limited. Full fledged campus placements are not offered for most of ug courses. Usually the students become eligible in their final years for placements. My plans after completing course is to give rbi banking exam.

many reputable companies come to our college to recruit potential candidates during the placements time. companies like EY, Bain, etc. come during the placement season. even if students are not able to find on campus placements, the skills and education of university of delhi leaves students with enough credibility to find placements on their own.

I will rate the curriculum as fairly comprehensive and relevant. It was the curriculum that led me to choose the college as it builds a strong foundation in core subjects like programming, data structures, etc. these subjects are essential for industry roles and higher studies. Exams are semester based with internal exams and mid Sem exams. Overall academically sound curriculum.

The college doesn't provide much placements, eventhough there is a placement cell in College, it's special for b.com hons and eco hons. The highest package was somewhat 59 lakhs and normally companies like Deloitte hires. As i said placements is only exclusive for the students who studies finances. Course Curriculum Overview:

When I was choosing this course in preference list I found it interesting to study the society, it's main aspect and concepts included in it . I read about Marx , max etc and found some interest in it . The curriculum does tell concept relevant information society but I feel like there is a lot of need to research in Indian societal concept and their work and interaction. Teaching method can be interesting, interactive rather than being boring concept reading in class
