Hasnraj College: A new start

I will rate the curriculum as fairly comprehensive and relevant. It was the curriculum that led me to choose the college as it builds a strong foundation in core subjects like programming, data structures, etc. these subjects are essential for industry roles and higher studies. Exams are semester based with internal exams and mid Sem exams. Overall academically sound curriculum.

Hansraj provides good internship opportunities found and shared actively by the internship and placement cells. The college collaborates actively with the alumni and other platforms to help students get a real idea of how the world works out there. Societies like Enactus, Ordianteur, Entrepreneurship cell help the students get a working idea and projects that help showcase their talents and skills and fields of expertise as well. Many companies like Deccan ai and others come with stipend around 10-15K per month for different roles.

Hansraj College, Delhi University offers Bachelor of Science, Computer Science Honours Course with an annual fee of ?60000/-. This is inclusive of the tution fee, lab free admission fee and all other costs for round the year events and programmes like orientation, fresher's, medical and other costs. This lumpsum is inclusive of charges for amenities and maintenance as well. The college has many scholarships for students in need and talent based as well like reliance scholarship, SBI Asha and other such scholarships for those that need financial aid.

Campus life is vibrant with societies like Ordinateur: The Computer Science Departmental Society, Enactus, Rotaract, Shakti and other such societies focusing on a range of disciplines and fields, while giving back to the society as a whole. Tech fests, Hackathons and other such Fests are held annually. Library access is good along with sports and eca life active and inclusive.

I chose this college for its strong academic reputation, affordable fees and structured computer science curriculum under the university of Delhi. Admission was through Cuet and other mandatory requirements included mathematics as a subject in class 12th. No, I did not get a rejection, this was my top choice. The college only accepts admissions based on CUET and preferential acceptance on ECA, Sports and NCC quota.

Faculty and student ration is balance allowing regular interactions. Most faculty members are supportive and approachable. Some teachers explain the concept very clearly and use practical to instill those learning as well. Exams are semester based and seem to be moderately difficult that too with selected subjects only and high pass rate.

Nightlife is calm but active. The college closes around 5pm in the evening. The canteen, gym and library shut around the same time. Hostels from what I've heard follow strict rules. Students get a chance to unwind at the different cafés and eateries around the campus in Kamla Nagar, Bunglow Road, etc.
