Course Curriculum Overview

Biochemistry is a very wide field with multiple career opportunities present within it... It's an emerging field and the teaching methods make it even more interesting for students to learn and grasp.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 25000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The quality of education is good. Faculty is quite experienced as well as helpful....due attention is paid to lab work. Laboratory instruments are in decemt working conditions. Many scholarship programs are available to make education affordable.

Campus Life

Multiple socieites ranging from enactus to debating , etc are present which encourage holistic development of students and provides many opportunities. Timely seminars also take place which help students to explore opportunities.

Admission

Biochemistry is present in very few colleges in Delhi University. Sri Venkateswara College is one of the best colleges offering Biochemistry hons as a course. The faculty takes practicals very seriously

Faculty

Internal assessment is paid due focus on. Assignments and practicals files are regularly checked to ensure effectiveness. Students are encouraged to take notes during classes and encouraged to explore more about the topic taught.

Night Life

Satya niketan is the nearest hangout spot with many food options. Its also a hub for PGs in south campus. Students like spending time there ..... Within college, the canteen offers affordable priced food

Hasnraj College: A new start

Course Curriculum Overview:

I will rate the curriculum as fairly comprehensive and relevant. It was the curriculum that led me to choose the college as it builds a strong foundation in core subjects like programming, data structures, etc. these subjects are essential for industry roles and higher studies. Exams are semester based with internal exams and mid Sem exams. Overall academically sound curriculum.

A three year journey of personality development.

Placement Experience:

The college doesn't provide much placements, eventhough there is a placement cell in College, it's special for b.com hons and eco hons. The highest package was somewhat 59 lakhs and normally companies like Deloitte hires. As i said placements is only exclusive for the students who studies finances. I won't ve opting for anything placements as I prefer mostly doing Masters

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college follows NEP and the curriculum fulfills all the necessary knowledge required at undergraduate level. NEP also adds VAC, AEC and SEC as extra subjects that feel irrelevant at time. However someone can utilise it well to develop an understanding of other fields too. The exam difficulty is moderate but requires complete knowledge of the syllabus to score well.

Our college has pretty good placements especially in the commerce departments with offers being made from companies like deloitte Accenture and lenskart. The average package is of 900000 per annum. I am more inclined towards research and intend to pursue a master's degree.

Placement Experience:

Placemenets of the overall colleges are good, especially for commerce related streams, however for science streams they are just well. Highest package varies around 12-15lpa and average is 5-9lpa. 60% students get placed while others either prefer higher studies or get rejected. I plan to go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

It is steadily improving, usually students from semester 5 become elegible for campus placements . Some of the comapnies that regularly visit are Deloitte, ICIC bank, ZS associates and others. The average package ranges between 4 to 6 LPA and the highest package goes upto 12LPA. Usually 7-8 cgpa ones are placed or are elegible for the campus placements, my plans after getting the degree is to pursure higher studies along with relevant internships

Your Average Guy's College Experience

I got accepted into Christ Uni (Yeshwanthpur Campus) and Loyola College Chennai. I chose SVC as Loyola did not have a hons course in commerce and I did not get into the Cental Campus in Christ. You have to apply for CUET to get admitted into Delhi University. For popular courses like Bcom Hons and Pol Sci Hons, the cut offs are soaring high. I had applied to Jindal Business school , Ashoka , NMIMS , IIM Rohtak I was selected in all of these universities but I had some personal reason due to which I couldn't leave Delhi .
